So the LORD energized and encouraged Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, the high priest Joshua son of Jehozadak, and the whole remnant of the people. They came and worked on the temple of their God, the LORD who rules over all.

大流士王執政第二年六月一日，耶和華藉著先知哈該對撒拉鐵的兒子猶大省長所羅巴伯和約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞說：

波斯王塞魯士元年，耶和華為了應驗祂藉耶利米所說的話，就感動波斯王塞魯士，使他下詔通告全國：

「你告訴猶大省長所羅巴伯，『我必震動天地，

撒拉鐵的兒子猶大省長所羅巴伯、約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞和所有的餘民聽到他們的上帝耶和華藉先知哈該所講的話，都順服耶和華的話。百姓都敬畏耶和華。

王該知道，我們去了猶大省，到了偉大上帝的殿。人們正在用大石建殿，木料已經安在牆裡，工程進展迅速、順利。

所以，我親愛的弟兄姊妹，你們務要堅定不移，總要竭力做主的工作，因為你們知道自己在主裡面的辛勤付出不會白費。

以斯拉說：「我們祖先的上帝耶和華當受讚美！因為祂使王有這樣的心意尊崇耶路撒冷耶和華的殿。祂又在王及其謀士和所有權貴面前施恩於我。因為我的上帝耶和華幫助我，我便有勇氣召集以色列的首領與我一同上去。」

於是，猶大和便雅憫的族長、祭司和利未人——所有被上帝感動的人都準備上耶路撒冷重建耶和華的殿。

因此，以色列的上帝驅使亞述王普勒，即提革拉·毗尼色，把呂便人、迦得人、瑪拿西半個支派的人擄到哈臘、哈博、哈拉和歌散河邊，他們至今還在那裡。

你跟仇敵作戰的時候，你的百姓必甘心跟從，他們衣著聖潔，如清晨的甘露。

在各樣善事上成全你們，好使你們遵行祂的旨意，並藉著主耶穌在你們心中動工，使你們做祂喜悅的事！願榮耀歸給上帝，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

恩賜各有不同，但聖靈是同一位。事奉各有不同，但主是同一位。工作各有不同，但上帝是同一位，祂在眾人當中成就萬事。聖靈給各人不同的恩賜為要使眾人得益處。這人從聖靈領受智言，那人從聖靈領受知識；聖靈賜這人信心，賜那人醫病的恩賜；聖靈使這人能行神蹟，使那人能作先知講道；使這人能辨別諸靈，使那人能說方言，又使另一人能翻譯方言。這一切都是同一位聖靈所賜的，是祂按自己的旨意分別賜給各人的。

感謝上帝！祂感動了提多的心，使他像我一樣熱誠地關懷你們。

所以，我親愛的弟兄姊妹，既然我在你們那裡的時候，你們一向都很順服；如今我不在你們那裡，你們更要順服，要戰戰兢兢地活出得救後應有的生命。因為你們立志和行事都是上帝在你們心中工作，為要成就祂美好的旨意。
