Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and the whole remnant of the people obeyed the voice of the Lord their God and the message of the prophet Haggai, because the Lord their God had sent him. And the people feared the Lord.

Zerubbabel was the son of Shealtiel. Joshua the high priest was the son of Jozadak. They obeyed the Lord their God. So did all the Lord’ s people who were still left alive. The Lord had given his message to them through me. He had sent me to speak to them. And the people had respect for him.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God had sent him. And the people feared the Lord.

Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the whole remnant of God’s people began to obey the message from the Lord their God. When they heard the words of the prophet Haggai, whom the Lord their God had sent, the people feared the Lord.

They responded favorably to the message of the prophet Haggai, who spoke just as the LORD their God had instructed him, and the people began to respect the LORD.

Then Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed Yahweh, their God’s voice, and the words of Haggai, the prophet, as Yahweh, their God, had sent him; and the people feared Yahweh.

你們中間誰是敬畏永恆主、聽從他僕人之話的？誰是在黑暗中行，沒有亮光的、讓他倚靠永恆主的名，依賴他自己的上帝吧。

永恆主激動了撒拉鐵的兒子猶大省長所羅巴伯的心，和約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞的心以及所有剩下的人民的心，他們就來，從事於重建萬軍之永恆主他們的上帝之殿的工作。

言論的終結：一切都聽見了。上帝你要敬畏；他的誡命你要遵守：這就是人的一切。

敬畏永恆主是知識的總綱；智慧和管教、愚妄人卻藐視。

『你要告訴撒拉鐵的兒子猶大省長所羅巴伯、和約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞、以及所有剩下的人民、說：

哈利路亞！敬畏永恆主、熱烈喜愛他誡命的、這人有福啊！

於是撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯和約薩達的兒子耶書亞都起來，動手重建在耶路撒冷的上帝之殿；同他們在一起的有上帝的神言人在支持着他們。

因為我們的福音傳到你們那裏、不僅僅在乎話語，乃在乎能力，在乎聖靈與堅定的確信；正如你們所知道的、我們為你們的緣故、在你們中間是成了甚麼樣的人。你們呢、也曾在大苦難中、以聖靈所喚起的喜樂接受了主的道而效法我們，也效法了主；

所以我們既領受了搖動不了的國，就應當有感恩的心，拿感恩的心照上帝所喜歡的來事奉他，存着虔誠敬畏的心；

『因為霖雨和雪怎樣從天上降下，並不返回天上，乃是滋潤大地，使地上生五穀，發芽生長，使撒種的有種子，使喫飯的人有糧食，照樣，我的話、從我口中發出的、也怎樣不徒然返回於我，總要作成我所主意的，使我所發表到的事都得成功。

當時猶太、加利利、撒瑪利亞、全地的教會都得平安，得建立，在敬畏主蒙聖靈的鼓勵中前進，人數日見增加。

這福音到了你們那裏，正如到了全世界，結果子增長着，正如在你們中間一樣結果子增長；自從你們聽見了、並實實在在認識了上帝恩惠的日子以來、都是如此。

你要召集人民、男女幼小、和你城內的寄居者，叫他們聽，叫他們學習敬畏永恆主你們的上帝，謹慎遵行「這律法」的一切話，

大利烏王第二年、六月一日、永恆主的話由神言人哈該經手、向撒拉鐵的兒子、猶大省長所羅巴伯、和約撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞說：

為了這緣故、我們就不住地感謝上帝，因為你們從我們領受了所聽的上帝之道；你們接受了，不認為是人之道，乃認為是上帝之道，也真地是：並且在你們信的人身上運用着動力呢。因為弟兄們，你們也像在猶太地基督耶穌裏的上帝眾教會那樣了。因為你們在自己同國人手下所受的苦、也正如他們在猶太人手下所受過的一樣。

天使說：『不可伸手宰兒童；害他的事、你一點也不可作；如今我知道你是敬畏上帝的；因為你沒有留下你兒子、你獨生的兒子、而不給我。』
