無花果雖不舒蕊、葡萄樹雖不結實、橄欖無所產、田畝不出糧、牢中絕羊、闌內無牛、

雖無花果之蕊不舒、葡萄樹之實不結、橄欖不復生果、田畝不復產物、牢中無群羊、廄內無牛犢、

因其時無花果樹不萌芽、葡萄樹不結實、油果樹不出油、田畝不產物、不產物或作不出穀牢中絕羊、圈內無牛、

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,

The fig trees might not bud. The vines might not produce any grapes. The olive crop might fail. The fields might not produce any food. There might not be any sheep in the pens. There might not be any cattle in the barns.

Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls,

And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.And also I have withholden the rain from you, when[ there were] yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.So two[ or] three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured[ them]: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread,[ which] thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword.

The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth.Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished.The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree,[ even] all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God.

Is not the meat cut off before our eyes,[ yea], joy and gladness from the house of our God?The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered.How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.

But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:Cursed[ shalt] thou[ be] in the city, and cursed[ shalt] thou[ be] in the field.Cursed[ shall be] thy basket and thy store.Cursed[ shall be] the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

Since those[ days] were, when[ one] came to an heap of twenty[ measures], there were[ but] ten: when[ one] came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty[ vessels] out of the press, there were[ but] twenty.I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye[ turned] not to me, saith the LORD.

Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.Thine ox[ shall be] slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass[ shall be] violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep[ shall be] given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue[ them].Thy sons and thy daughters[ shall be] given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail[ with longing] for them all the day long: and[ there shall be] no might in thine hand.The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather[ but] little in; for the locust shall consume it.Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress[ them], but shalt neither drink[ of] the wine, nor gather[ the grapes]; for the worms shall eat them.Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint[ thyself] with the oil; for thine olive shall cast[ his fruit].Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
