Joshua captured all the cities of these kings, and all their kings; and he struck them with the edge of the sword and utterly destroyed them, just as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded.

But Moses said to the people,“ Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will perform for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again, ever.The Lord will fight for you, while you keep silent.”

Now it came about at midnight that the Lord struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of cattle.And Pharaoh got up in the night, he and all his servants and all the Egyptians, and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was no home where there was not someone dead.

God, when You went forth before Your people, When You marched through the desert, Selah

Joshua captured all these kings and their lands at one time, because the Lord, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.

Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to the Lord, saying:“ I will sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalted; The horse and its rider He has hurled into the sea.The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

You led Your people like a flock By the hand of Moses and Aaron.

And as they fled from Israel, while they were at the descent of Beth horon, the Lord hurled large stones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died; there were more who died from the hailstones than those whom the sons of Israel killed with the sword.

The Lord is their strength, And He is a refuge of salvation to His anointed.

Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand.
