可畏可懼、下令決事、惟隨己意、下令決事惟隨己意或作其權衡威勢由己而出

They are a feared and dreaded people; they are a law to themselves and promote their own honor.

They terrify others. They do not recognize any laws but their own. That is how proud they are.

They are dreaded and fearsome; their justice and dignity go forth from themselves.

They are notorious for their cruelty and do whatever they like.

They are fierce and terrifying; their views of justice and sovereignty stem from themselves.

迦勒底人帥師、追及之、於耶利哥平原執之、解至哈末地之立拉、以見巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、請彼定擬。巴比倫王在立拉、殺西底家之世子、使之目睹、猶大之家亦遭誅殛。抉西底家之目、繫以銅索、被逮於巴比倫、王宮民室、悉為迦勒底人所燬、墮耶路撒冷城垣。侍衛長尼布撒喇擔、虜邑遺民、以及歸誠之卒、悉至巴比倫、

毋攘竊。

當是日、魁偉裸體之民、自古以來、有雄武之名、勇敢而戰必克、其國之河、支派分流、斯民也、必至郇山、貢物於萬有之主耶和華。

解至哈末之立拉、見巴比倫王、王斷其事。巴比倫王在立拉殺西底家諸子、使其目睹、亦殺猶大諸牧伯、巴比倫王抉西底家目、繫以銅索、解至巴比倫、幽於囹圄至死不赦。

爾盍近前、聞我上帝耶和華所言、傳之於我、我必遵行。

城中擄轄武士之宦豎一、王之近臣七、軍中之繕寫兼掌民數者一、及民眾六十、咸至哈末之立拉、見巴比倫王、巴比倫王殺之、猶大族被虜之事如此。
