They sweep past like the wind. Then they go on their way. They are guilty. They worship their own strength.”

他以自己的势力为神，像风猛然扫过，显为有罪。”

那时，他如风猛然扫过，他背叛，显为有罪；他以自己的力量为神明。

那时，他如风猛然扫过，他背叛，显为有罪；他以自己的力量为神明。

他们如狂风横扫而过，这些有罪的人把自己的力量奉为神明。”

然后扫荡如风吹过。他们是有罪的，因他们以自己的势力为神。

他以自己的勢力為神，像風猛然掃過，顯為有罪。

那時，他如風猛然掃過，他背叛，顯為有罪；他以自己的力量為神明。

然後掃蕩如風吹過。他們是有罪的，因他們以自己的勢力為神。

然後風一掃，他們就過去、而有罪！嘿，這就是他們的勢力，他們所看為神的！

彼以己力為神、其衝突也、若風飄過、致干罪戾、

精神倍長、向前遄征、復獲罪於耶和華、自謂其上帝所助。

於是其心尤為狂傲、前驅造孽、以勢力為神、

Then they sweep past like the wind and go on— guilty people, whose own strength is their god.”

Then they sweep by like the wind and go on, guilty men, whose own might is their god!”

They sweep past like the wind and are gone. But they are deeply guilty, for their own strength is their god.”

Then they sweep by like the wind and pass through. They are guilty; their strength is their god.

Then they fly along like the wind and pass on. But they will be held guilty, They whose strength is their god.”

Then his mind changes, and he transgresses; He commits offense, Ascribing this power to his god.”

Then shall he sweep by as a wind, and shall pass over, and be guilty, even he whose might is his god.

Then they sweep by like the wind and pass through. They are guilty; their strength is their god.

Then shall[ his] mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend,[ imputing] this his power unto his god.

They sweep by like the wind and pass on. But the one who considers himself a god will be held guilty.”

Then he sweeps by like the wind, and goes on. He is indeed guilty, whose strength is his god.”

At that time the people of Judah and Jerusalem will be warned. They will be told,“ A hot and dry wind is coming, my people. It is blowing toward you from the bare hilltops in the desert. But it does not separate straw from grain.It is much too strong for that. The wind is coming from me. I am making my decision against you.”

So the servants brought in the gold cups. The cups had been taken from God’s temple in Jerusalem. The king and his nobles drank from them. So did his wives and concubines.As they drank the wine, they praised their gods. The statues of those gods were made out of gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood or stone.

But his heart became very stubborn and proud. So he was removed from his royal throne. His glory was stripped away from him.

He said,“ Isn’t this the great Babylon I have built as a place for my royal palace? I used my mighty power to build it. It shows how glorious my majesty is.”He was still speaking when he heard a voice from heaven. It said,“ King Nebuchadnezzar, here is what has been ordered concerning you. Your royal authority has been taken from you.You will be driven away from people. You will live with the wild animals. You will eat grass just as an ox does. Seven periods of time will pass by for you. Then you will recognize that the Most High God rules over all kingdoms on earth. He gives them to anyone he wants.”What had been said about King Nebuchadnezzar came true at once. He was driven away from people. He ate grass just as an ox does. His body became wet with the dew of heaven. He stayed that way until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle. His nails became like the claws of a bird.At the end of that time I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven. My mind became clear again. Then I praised the Most High God. I gave honor and glory to the God who lives forever. His rule will last forever. His kingdom will never end.
