Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”

洪水在地上氾濫了四十天，水不斷地往上漲，把方舟漂了起來。

地上傾盆大雨降了四十晝夜。

說：「我要把所造的人從地上除掉，連同一切飛禽走獸和爬蟲都除掉，我後悔造了他們。」

看啊，我要使洪水在地上氾濫，毀滅天下。地上一切有氣息的生靈都要滅亡。

祂對挪亞說：「世人惡貫滿盈，他們的結局到了。我要把他們跟大地一起毀滅。

他們死期未到便已夭逝，他們的根基被洪濤捲走。

「我在收割前三個月停止降雨。我在一座城降雨，在另一座城不降雨；我使一塊田有雨水的滋潤，另一塊田因無雨而乾裂。

等了七天，他又放出鴿子，這一次，鴿子沒有回來。

得勝者必同樣穿上白袍，我絕不會從生命冊上抹去他的名字，我必在我父和眾天使面前承認他的名。

願他們的名字從生命冊上被抹去，不得和義人的名字列在一起。

祂定下風的重量，量出水的規模；

祂使密雲佈滿水氣，從雲端發出閃電。雲隨祂的指令旋轉，在地面之上完成祂的吩咐，

那七天過後，洪水在地上氾濫起來。

等這七天的婚期過了，我就把拉結也許配給你，你再替我工作七年。」雅各同意了。過了七天，拉班把女兒拉結嫁給雅各，

懇求你赦免他們的罪，不然請你從你的冊子上抹掉我的名字吧。」耶和華對摩西說：「誰得罪我，我就從我的冊子上抹掉誰的名字。

地上還沒有草木菜蔬，因為耶和華上帝還沒有降雨在地上，土地也沒有人耕作，

耶和華說：「人既然是血肉之軀，我的靈不會永遠住在人的裡面，然而人還可以活一百二十年。」

祂吸取水滴，使之在雲霧中化為雨，從雲端沛然降下，滋潤人間。誰能明白雲層的鋪展，及祂幔幕發出的雷聲？祂在四圍鋪展閃電，照亮大海的深處。祂藉此治理萬民，賜下豐富的食物。祂手握閃電，令它射向目標。

世上所有的飛禽、走獸、牲畜、爬蟲和人類都死了。在陸地上所有用鼻孔呼吸的生靈都死了。地上的人類、飛禽走獸和爬蟲等一切生靈都被毀滅了，只剩下挪亞和跟他同在方舟裡的生靈。

過了七天，挪亞再把鴿子放出去。
