「可是她們去買的時候，新郎就來了。那些預備好了的，與新郎一同進去赴婚宴，門就關上了。

等到那家的主人起來關了門，你們才開始站在外面敲門，說：『主啊，請給我們開門！』主人就會回答你們，說：『我不知道你們是從哪裡來的。』

你要從所有潔淨的牲畜中各帶七公七母，從不潔淨的牲畜中各帶一公一母，從天空的飛鳥中各帶七公七母，好使牠們的種類在全地上存留；

住在至高者隱祕處的，將安居在全能者的蔭庇下。我要對耶和華說：「我的避難所、我的要塞、我的神，我依靠你！」是的，他必解救你脫離捕鳥人的網羅，脫離致命的瘟疫；他必用自己的羽翼遮蔽你，你要投靠在他的翅膀底下；他的信實是盾牌和壁壘。你必不怕夜間的恐懼，或是白天飛來的箭；也不怕幽暗中流行的瘟疫，或是正午毀滅人的病毒。即使千人仆倒在你旁邊，萬人仆倒在你右邊，災禍也不會接近你。你只要用眼觀看，就會看到惡人的報應。因為你把耶和華——至高者、我的避難所——當作你的居所，惡事必不會發生在你身上，疾患也不會靠近你的帳篷；

這樣你就會安然行路，你的腳也不會跌跌撞撞；

因此我們不害怕——即使大地變動，群山動搖陷入海中；

你們藉著信，在神的大能中蒙保守，以至於那預備好要在末世顯現的救恩。

我的羊聽我的聲音，我也認識他們，他們也跟著我；並且我賜給他們永恆的生命，他們絕不會滅亡，直到永遠。誰也不能把他們從我手中奪走。我父，就是把他們賜給我的那一位，他比一切更大。誰也不能把他們從我父的手中奪走。我與父是一體的。」
