「當糊塗的伴娘去買油的時候，新郎來了。那些預備好的伴娘跟他一同進去參加婚宴，門就關了。

當主人起來把門關閉之後，你們才站在外面叩門哀求，說，『主啊，給我們開門吧！』主人必說，『我不認識你們，你們是從哪裡來的？』

潔淨的動物，你要每樣帶七公七母，不潔淨的動物每樣帶一公一母，飛鳥每樣帶七公七母，叫牠們以後可以在地上繁衍後代。

安居在至高者隱秘處的人，必蒙全能者的蔭庇。我要對耶和華說：「你是我的避難所，我的堡壘，是我所信靠的上帝。」祂必救你脫離獵人的網羅和致命的瘟疫。祂必用祂的羽毛遮蓋你，用祂的雙翼保護你，祂的信實是你的盾牌和壁壘。你必不懼怕黑夜的恐怖，或白日的飛箭，或黑暗中橫行的瘟疫，或正午肆虐的災難。儘管千人仆倒在你左邊，萬人在你右邊，你必安然無恙。你必親眼目睹惡人受懲罰。因為你以至高者耶和華——我的避難所作你的居所，禍患不會臨到你身上，災難不會靠近你的住處。

然後回家關上門，你和你兒子在屋裡把那瓶油倒在所有借來的器皿中，裝滿的放在一邊。」於是，婦人辭別以利沙，回去後把自己和兒子關在屋裡，兒子遞給她器皿，她就倒油。

亙古的上帝是你的庇護，祂永恆的臂膀是你的依託。祂趕走你面前的仇敵，下令毀滅他們。

如此，你必步履穩健，不致失足；

因此，任大地震動，群山沉入深海；

你們這些因信而蒙上帝用大能保守的人，必能得到那已經預備好、在末世要顯明的救恩。

我的羊聽我的聲音，我也認識他們，他們也跟隨我。我要賜他們永生，他們永不滅亡。沒有人能從我的手裡把他們搶走。我父把羊賜給我，祂比萬物都大，沒有人能從祂手中把羊搶走。我和父本為一。」
