On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.

耶和華對挪亞說：「你和你的全家都要進入方舟，因為在這世代中，我看你在我面前是個義人。

但我要與你立約；你同你的兒子、妻子和媳婦都要進入方舟。

閃也生了兒子，他是雅弗的哥哥，是希伯人的祖先。

挪亞的兒子，從方舟出來的，有閃、含和雅弗。含是迦南的父親。這是挪亞的三個兒子，他們的後裔散佈全地。

因着信，挪亞既蒙神指示他未見的事，動了敬畏的心，造了方舟，使他全家得救。藉此他定了那世代的罪，自己也承受了那從信而來的義。

就是那些從前在挪亞預備方舟、神容忍等待的時候不信從的人。當時進入方舟，藉着水得救的不多，只有八個人。

這是挪亞的兒子閃、含、雅弗的後代。洪水以後，他們都生了兒子。雅弗的兒子是歌篾、瑪各、瑪代、雅完、土巴、米設、提拉。

挪亞生了三個兒子，就是閃、含和雅弗。

挪亞活到五百歲，生了閃、含和雅弗。

既然神也沒有寬容上古的世界，曾叫洪水臨到那不敬虔的世界，只保護了報公義信息的挪亞一家八口；

挪亞，閃，含，雅弗。雅弗的兒子是歌篾、瑪各、瑪代、雅完、土巴、米設和提拉。歌篾的兒子是亞實基拿、低法和陀迦瑪。雅完的兒子是以利沙、他施、基提和羅單人。含的兒子是古實、麥西、弗和迦南。古實的兒子是西巴、哈腓拉、撒弗他、拉瑪和撒弗提迦。拉瑪的兒子是示巴和底但。古實又生寧錄，他是地上第一個勇士。麥西生路低人、亞拿米人、利哈比人、拿弗土希人、帕斯魯細人、迦斯路希人和迦斐託人；非利士人是從迦斐託人出來的。迦南生了長子西頓，又生赫和耶布斯人、亞摩利人、革迦撒人、希未人、亞基人、西尼人、亞瓦底人、洗瑪利人和哈馬人。閃的兒子是以攔、亞述、亞法撒、路德、亞蘭、烏斯、戶勒、基帖和米設。亞法撒生沙拉；沙拉生希伯。希伯生了兩個兒子：一個名叫法勒，因為那時人分地居住；法勒的兄弟名叫約坍。約坍生亞摩答、沙列、哈薩瑪非、耶拉、哈多蘭、烏薩、德拉、以巴錄、亞比瑪利、示巴、阿斐、哈腓拉和約巴。這些都是約坍的兒子。閃，亞法撒，沙拉，希伯，法勒，拉吳，西鹿，拿鶴，他拉，亞伯蘭，亞伯蘭就是亞伯拉罕。亞伯拉罕的兒子是以撒和以實瑪利。

含的兒子是古實、麥西、弗、迦南。

挪亞同他的兒子、妻子和媳婦都進入方舟，躲避洪水。潔淨的牲畜和不潔淨的牲畜，飛鳥及所有爬行在土地上的，都一對一對，有公有母，到挪亞那裏，進入方舟，正如神所吩咐挪亞的。
