But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

But Noah found favor in Yahweh’s eyes.

“ You have been so gracious to me and saved my life, and you have shown such great kindness. But I cannot go to the mountains. Disaster would catch up to me there, and I would soon die.

“ Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her,“ for you have found favor with God!

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

And God did not spare the ancient world— except for Noah and the seven others in his family. Noah warned the world of God’s righteous judgment. So God protected Noah when he destroyed the world of ungodly people with a vast flood.

May the Lord show him special kindness on the day of Christ’s return. And you know very well how helpful he was in Ephesus.

For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.

One day Moses said to the Lord,“ You have been telling me,‘ Take these people up to the Promised Land.’ But you haven’t told me whom you will send with me. You have told me,‘ I know you by name, and I look favorably on you.’If it is true that you look favorably on me, let me know your ways so I may understand you more fully and continue to enjoy your favor. And remember that this nation is your very own people.”The Lord replied,“ I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest— everything will be fine for you.”Then Moses said,“ If you don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place.How will anyone know that you look favorably on me— on me and on your people— if you don’t go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.”The Lord replied to Moses,“ I will indeed do what you have asked, for I look favorably on you, and I know you by name.”

Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation.

For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.

But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased him

But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me— and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.

Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.

For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.

When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned.

The Lord protects all those who love him, but he destroys the wicked.

The Lord approves of those who are good, but he condemns those who plan wickedness.

This is what the Lord says:“ Those who survive the coming destruction will find blessings even in the barren land, for I will give rest to the people of Israel.”
