吾父臨沒時、使我發誓、必葬之於迦南地所備之墓、容我往彼、葬父而返。

‘我父亲要死的时候叫我起誓说：你要将我葬在迦南地，在我为自己所掘的坟墓里。’现在求你让我上去葬我父亲，以后我必回来。”

‘我父亲曾叫我起誓说：看哪，我快要死了，你要将我葬在迦南地，在我为自己所掘的坟墓里。’现在求你准我上去葬我父亲，然后我必回来。”

请告诉法老，我父亲死前要我起誓把他葬在迦南他自己预备好的坟地。请准许我到迦南去安葬我父亲，我办完丧事就回来。”

吾父使我誓云、我將死矣、必葬於迦南地所修之墓、求容我往、葬父而返、

我父曾命我曰、當立誓、我死後、必葬我於迦南地所備之墓、今求容我往彼、葬父而返、

‘ My father made me swear an oath and said,“ I am about to die; bury me in the tomb I dug for myself in the land of Canaan.” Now let me go up and bury my father; then I will return.’”

‘ My father made me give my word to him. He said,“ I’m about to die. Bury me in the tomb I dug for myself in the land of Canaan.” So let me go there and bury my father. Then I’ll come back.’ ”

‘ My father made me swear, saying,“ I am about to die: in my tomb that I hewed out for myself in the land of Canaan, there shall you bury me.” Now therefore, let me please go up and bury my father. Then I will return.’”

Tell him that my father made me swear an oath. He said to me,‘ Listen, I am about to die. Take my body back to the land of Canaan, and bury me in the tomb I prepared for myself.’ So please allow me to go and bury my father. After his burial, I will return without delay.”

葬於大闢邑、在彼生時所作之墓、醫士製芬芳之品盈床、置之於塚、焚香無算。

爾於此鑿墓、營窀穸於高磐之上、意以為可久與、抑為爾骨肉之親也。

置己磐中所鑿之新墓、轉大石於墓門而去、

以色列死期將至、召子約瑟曰、如為爾所愛、則當置手於吾髀下、必善待我、真實無妄、誓勿葬我於埃及。我欲與祖父同墓、必攜我骨出埃及、歸葬於先人之兆。曰、惟命是聽。曰必發誓、即誓之。以色列乃倚床而拜上帝。

又語一人曰、從我、曰、主、容我歸葬父、耶穌曰、任夫死人葬其死人、爾往傳上帝國之道、

父命之曰、我將返本、當葬我於赫人以弗崙田中之穴、附吾祖父側。昔亞伯拉罕自赫人以弗崙購迦南地慢哩相對麥比拉田之穴、以為塚地。

又一門徒曰、主、容我歸葬父、耶穌曰、從我、任夫死人葬其死人、○

人有百子、又獲遐齡、生不能享福、死不得善葬、以我觀之、胎未成人者、較彼愈美。

不敢登高、行於途中亦多畏葸、以杏核為可厭、以蟿蟲為重物、生平嗜好、百無一存、人歸窀穸、哀者行於衢。

以色列語約瑟曰、我死期將至、上帝必祐爾、使爾返於爾祖所旅之處。

掃羅問約拿單曰、爾何所為、明以告我。約拿單曰、我僅以所執之杖、嘗蜜少許、何至於死。

約瑟謂兄弟曰、我死期將至、上帝必眷顧爾、導爾出斯土、反至所誓賜亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之地。

必汗流浹面、庶可餬口、逮歸於所出之土而後已。汝身乃土、死則返其本焉。

我知爾必致我於死、入億兆當歸之窀穸。

人本摶土所為、死則返本、人之魂靈為上帝所賦畀、死則歸乎上帝。○

耶路撒冷四周、血流若水、尸不瘞埋兮、

我必終於此、弗克濟河、惟爾其渡、據有斯地。
