What have you to do here, and whom have you here, that you have cut out here a tomb for yourself, you who cut out a tomb on the height and carve a dwelling for yourself in the rock?

and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had cut in the rock. And he rolled a great stone to the entrance of the tomb and went away.

And when the time drew near that Israel must die, he called his son Joseph and said to him,“ If now I have found favor in your sight, put your hand under my thigh and promise to deal kindly and truly with me. Then Israel said to Joseph,“ Behold, I am about to die, but God will be with you and will bring you again to the land of your fathers.

Then Saul said to Jonathan,“ Tell me what you have done.” And Jonathan told him,“ I tasted a little honey with the tip of the staff that was in my hand. Here I am; I will die.”

And Joseph said to his brothers,“ I am about to die, but God will visit you and bring you up out of this land to the land that he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”

By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

For I know that you will bring me to death and to the house appointed for all living.

and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

They have poured out their blood like water all around Jerusalem, and there was no one to bury them.

For I must die in this land; I must not go over the Jordan. But you shall go over and take possession of that good land.
