‘ Thus you shall say to Joseph:“ I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; for they did evil to you.”’ Now, please, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

當謂約瑟曰、昔諸昆惡待於爾、請宥諸昆之罪、我儕為汝父上帝之僕、請赦我過、言間、約瑟哭焉、

昔諸昆仲、待汝不善、吾今令爾宥其過、惟我儕為汝父上帝之僕、請赦我罪、約瑟聞言而哭。

當如是語約瑟云、昔爾諸兄待爾不善、我命爾赦其過、宥其罪、我儕為爾父之天主之僕、今求赦我罪、諸兄向約瑟言之、約瑟哭、

‘ This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father.” When their message came to him, Joseph wept.

He said,‘ Here’s what you must say to Joseph. Tell him,“ I’m asking you to forgive your brothers. Forgive the terrible things they did to you. Forgive them for treating you so badly.” ’ Now then, please forgive our sins. We serve the God of your father.” When their message came to Joseph, he wept.

‘ Say to Joseph,“ Please forgive the transgression of your brothers and their sin, because they did evil to you.”’ And now, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

to say to you:‘ Please forgive your brothers for the great wrong they did to you— for their sin in treating you so cruelly.’ So we, the servants of the God of your father, beg you to forgive our sin.” When Joseph received the message, he broke down and wept.

‘ Say this to Joseph: Please forgive your brothers’ transgression and their sin— the suffering they caused you.’ Therefore, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when their message came to him.

‘ This is what you shall say to Joseph:“ Please forgive, I beg you, the offense of your brothers and their sin, for they did you wrong.” ’ And now, please forgive the offense of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the transgression of thy brethren, and their sin, for that they did unto thee evil. And now, we pray thee, forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.

‘ Say this to Joseph: Please forgive your brothers’ transgression and their sin— the suffering they caused you.’ Therefore, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when their message came to him.

So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.

‘ Tell Joseph this: Please forgive the sin of your brothers and the wrong they did when they treated you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sin of the servants of the God of your father.” When this message was reported to him, Joseph wept.

‘ You shall tell Joseph,“ Now please forgive the disobedience of your brothers, and their sin, because they did evil to you.”’ Now, please forgive the disobedience of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

“ For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

And when the ten heard it, they began to be greatly displeased with James and John.

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

And the King will answer and say to them,‘ Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

And Joseph said to his brothers,“ Please come near to me.” So they came near. Then he said:“ I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.

So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and Lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying,‘ I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”

By the God of your father who will help you, And by the Almighty who will bless you With blessings of heaven above, Blessings of the deep that lies beneath, Blessings of the breasts and of the womb.

And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”

And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

Then they said to one another,“ We are truly guilty concerning our brother, for we saw the anguish of his soul when he pleaded with us, and we would not hear; therefore this distress has come upon us.”And Reuben answered them, saying,“ Did I not speak to you, saying,‘ Do not sin against the boy’; and you would not listen? Therefore behold, his blood is now required of us.”But they did not know that Joseph understood them, for he spoke to them through an interpreter.And he turned himself away from them and wept. Then he returned to them again, and talked with them. And he took Simeon from them and bound him before their eyes.

He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

Then he looks at men and says,‘ I have sinned, and perverted what was right, And it did not profit me.’He will redeem his soul from going down to the Pit, And his life shall see the light.

Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you what is fitting,yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you— being such a one as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ—I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten while in my chains,who once was unprofitable to you, but now is profitable to you and to me.I am sending him back. You therefore receive him, that is, my own heart,whom I wished to keep with me, that on your behalf he might minister to me in my chains for the gospel.But without your consent I wanted to do nothing, that your good deed might not be by compulsion, as it were, but voluntary.For perhaps he departed for a while for this purpose, that you might receive him forever,no longer as a slave but more than a slave— a beloved brother, especially to me but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.If then you count me as a partner, receive him as you would me.But if he has wronged you or owes anything, put that on my account.I, Paul, am writing with my own hand. I will repay— not to mention to you that you owe me even your own self besides.Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in the Lord.

And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.

“ So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

For they intended evil against You; They devised a plot which they are not able to perform.

Unless the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked you last night.”
