‘ Say this to Joseph: Please forgive your brothers’ transgression and their sin— the suffering they caused you.’ Therefore, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when their message came to him.

‘你们要对约瑟这样说：从前你哥哥们恶待你，求你饶恕他们的过犯和罪恶。’如今求你饶恕你父亲神之仆人的过犯。”他们对约瑟说这话，约瑟就哭了。

當謂約瑟曰、昔諸昆惡待於爾、請宥諸昆之罪、我儕為汝父上帝之僕、請赦我過、言間、約瑟哭焉、

昔諸昆仲、待汝不善、吾今令爾宥其過、惟我儕為汝父上帝之僕、請赦我罪、約瑟聞言而哭。

當如是語約瑟云、昔爾諸兄待爾不善、我命爾赦其過、宥其罪、我儕為爾父之天主之僕、今求赦我罪、諸兄向約瑟言之、約瑟哭、

‘ This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father.” When their message came to him, Joseph wept.

He said,‘ Here’s what you must say to Joseph. Tell him,“ I’m asking you to forgive your brothers. Forgive the terrible things they did to you. Forgive them for treating you so badly.” ’ Now then, please forgive our sins. We serve the God of your father.” When their message came to Joseph, he wept.

‘ Say to Joseph,“ Please forgive the transgression of your brothers and their sin, because they did evil to you.”’ And now, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

to say to you:‘ Please forgive your brothers for the great wrong they did to you— for their sin in treating you so cruelly.’ So we, the servants of the God of your father, beg you to forgive our sin.” When Joseph received the message, he broke down and wept.

‘ This is what you shall say to Joseph:“ Please forgive, I beg you, the offense of your brothers and their sin, for they did you wrong.” ’ And now, please forgive the offense of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

‘ Thus you shall say to Joseph:“ I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; for they did evil to you.”’ Now, please, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the transgression of thy brethren, and their sin, for that they did unto thee evil. And now, we pray thee, forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.

So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.

‘ Tell Joseph this: Please forgive the sin of your brothers and the wrong they did when they treated you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sin of the servants of the God of your father.” When this message was reported to him, Joseph wept.

‘ You shall tell Joseph,“ Now please forgive the disobedience of your brothers, and their sin, because they did evil to you.”’ Now, please forgive the disobedience of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

“ For if you forgive people their wrongdoing, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well.But if you don’t forgive people, your Father will not forgive your wrongdoing.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The urgent request of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.

When the other 10 disciples heard this, they began to be indignant with James and John.

And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.

Therefore, God’s chosen ones, holy and loved, put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,accepting one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive.

“ And the King will answer them,‘ I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’

Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.

Then Joseph said to his brothers,“ Please, come near me,” and they came near.“ I am Joseph, your brother,” he said,“ the one you sold into Egypt.And now don’t be worried or angry with yourselves for selling me here, because God sent me ahead of you to preserve life.

Therefore it was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result— the survival of many people.

Be on your guard. If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and comes back to you seven times, saying,‘ I repent,’ you must forgive him.”

by the God of your father who helps you, and by the Almighty who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings of the deep that lies below, and blessings of the breasts and the womb.

And whoever gives just a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is a disciple— I assure you: He will never lose his reward!”

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Then they said to each other,“ Obviously, we are being punished for what we did to our brother. We saw his deep distress when he pleaded with us, but we would not listen. That is why this trouble has come to us.”But Reuben replied:“ Didn’t I tell you not to harm the boy? But you wouldn’t listen. Now we must account for his blood!”They did not realize that Joseph understood them, since there was an interpreter between them.He turned away from them and wept. Then he turned back and spoke to them. He took Simeon from them and had him bound before their eyes.

The one who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.

He will look at men and say,“ I have sinned and perverted what was right; yet I did not get what I deserved.He redeemed my soul from going down to the Pit, and I will continue to see the light.”

For this reason, although I have great boldness in Christ to command you to do what is right,I appeal to you, instead, on the basis of love. I, Paul, as an elderly man and now also as a prisoner of Christ Jesus,appeal to you for my son, Onesimus. I fathered him while I was in chains.Once he was useless to you, but now he is useful both to you and to me.I am sending him back to you as a part of myself.I wanted to keep him with me, so that in my imprisonment for the gospel he might serve me in your place.But I didn’t want to do anything without your consent, so that your good deed might not be out of obligation, but of your own free will.For perhaps this is why he was separated from you for a brief time, so that you might get him back permanently,no longer as a slave, but more than a slave— as a dearly loved brother. He is especially so to me, but even more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.So if you consider me a partner, accept him as you would me.And if he has wronged you in any way, or owes you anything, charge that to my account.I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it— not to mention to you that you owe me even your own self.Yes, brother, may I have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ.

May peace come to all those who follow this standard, and mercy to the Israel of God!

So My heavenly Father will also do to you if each of you does not forgive his brother from his heart.”

Though they intend to harm you and devise a wicked plan, they will not prevail.

If the God of my father, the God of Abraham, the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, certainly now you would have sent me off empty-handed. But God has seen my affliction and my hard work, and He issued His verdict last night.”
