永恆主從天上垂看着人類，要看有明智的沒有，有尋求上帝的沒有。他們都偏離正路，一概被染污；沒有人行善，連一個也沒有。

就是我們從前也都在其中，在我們肉體的私慾裏起居，行肉體上、心神上所意願的，生來就是該受上帝義怒的兒女，像會外人一樣——。

這樣、在上帝面前、人怎能稱為義呢？婦人所生的、怎能純潔呢？

故此、罪怎樣藉着一個人而入了世界，死又藉着罪而入了世界，死也怎樣因萬人都犯了罪而傳遍到萬人。

巴不得污穢之中能有潔淨呢！一概不能啊！

唉，我是在罪孽中生的；在罪惡中我母親孕懷了我。

由肉身生的是肉身，由靈生的是靈。
