Let me not enter their council, let me not join their assembly, for they have killed men in their anger and hamstrung oxen as they pleased.

I won’t share in their plans. I won’t have anything to do with them. They became angry and killed people. They cut the legs of oxen just for the fun of it.

Let my soul come not into their council; O my glory, be not joined to their company. For in their anger they killed men, and in their willfulness they hamstrung oxen.

May I never join in their meetings; may I never be a party to their plans. For in their anger they murdered men, and they crippled oxen just for sport.

雅各對西緬和利未說：『你們把我搞壞了，使我在這地的居民中，在迦南人和比利洗人中間，有了臭名。我人數既然稀少，他們是會聚集來攻打我、擊殺我的，那我和我的家就被消滅了。』

不要把我和罪人一同收拾去哦；不要把我的性命和流人血的人一同除掉；

因此我的心歡喜，我的肝腸快樂；我的肉身也安然居住。

求你把我隱藏，使我脫離作壞事者的陰謀、和作孽之人的串通。

我的肝腸啊，醒起吧！琴哪、瑟啊，醒起吧！我要把黎明喚醒來！

義人所設計的是公平；惡人的智謀是詭詐。

我的心哪，你為甚麼沮喪？為甚麼以悲歎壓着我呢？應當仰望上帝；因為我還要稱讚他、我面前的救助、我的上帝。

別跟不信者異類同軛相配偶了：義和不法怎能合夥呢？光對暗有甚麼團契呢？

『「暗中擊殺鄰舍的、必受咒詛」；眾民都要說：「阿們。」

然後對自己說，人哪，你有許多財物存放着、做許多年的用處；你安逸度日，喫喝快樂吧！」

我沒有和虛謊人同坐，也不跟偽裝掩飾的人來往；我恨惡作壞事者的集團，我不和惡人同坐。

使我的肝腸可唱揚你、而不住聲。永恆主我的上帝啊，我要稱謝你、直到永遠。

不依惡人的計謀而行，不站在罪人的道路，不坐在褻慢人的座位，這人有福啊！

那肆行毁滅而居權位者，憑着律例架弄奸惡、結夥攻害義人的性命，將無辜流血的人定了死罪的，能跟你聯合麼？

我的心哪，你要祝頌永恆主；我的全內臟啊，你要祝頌他的聖名。

我的肺腑啊，我的肺腑啊，我翻騰難過；我心房的牆直跳動着；我的心向我自己在悲歎哀鳴；我不能緘默不作聲；因為我聽見了號角聲，戰爭的吶喊。

上帝啊，定他們為有罪；願他們由自己的計謀而敗倒；願你因他們的許多過犯而驅逐他們；因為他們悖逆了你。

到了第三天，眾人還在疼痛的時候，雅各的兩個兒子，底拿的哥哥，西緬和利未，各拿刀劍，泰然自若地來到那城，把所有的男丁都殺了。也用刀殺死了哈抹和他的兒子示劍，從示劍家裏帶了底拿出來。

他們若說：『跟我們同來吧！我們來埋伏，流人的血，來無緣無故地潛伏、害無辜的人；

上帝啊，巴不得你擊殺惡人哦，叫好流人血的人離開我而去；

弟子啊，不要跟他們同行一道；要禁止你的腳走他們的路；因為他們的腳奔跑行壞事；他們倉惶急迫地流人的血。

不要把我跟壞人和作孽的一同拉掉；他們同鄰舍說和平話，心裏卻很奸險。
