我心不與同謀、我神不與共會、蓋其乘怒而戕人命、縱欲而斷牛筋、

我心不願與同謀、我意不願與共會、其乘怒而殺人、其縱欲而圮垣。

我心不願與之同謀、我靈不欲與之共會、因其乘怒殺戮人、縱欲殘害牛、

Let me not enter their council, let me not join their assembly, for they have killed men in their anger and hamstrung oxen as they pleased.

I won’t share in their plans. I won’t have anything to do with them. They became angry and killed people. They cut the legs of oxen just for the fun of it.

Let my soul come not into their council; O my glory, be not joined to their company. For in their anger they killed men, and in their willfulness they hamstrung oxen.

May I never join in their meetings; may I never be a party to their plans. For in their anger they murdered men, and they crippled oxen just for sport.

May I never enter their council; may I never join their assembly. For in their anger they kill men, and on a whim they hamstring oxen.

May my soul not enter into their council; May my glory not be united with their assembly; For in their anger they killed men, And in their self will they lamed oxen.

雅各對西緬和利未說：「你們給我帶來了禍患，使我在這地的居民，就是在迦南人和比利洗人中間，有了臭名。我的人數稀少，如果他們聚集起來對付我、攻擊我，我和我家就會被除滅。」

不要把我的靈魂與罪人一同收回，不要把我的命與殺人流血的一同收回。

因此我的心歡喜，我的靈快樂，我的肉體也安然居住；

求你隱藏我，脫離作惡者的密謀，脫離作孽者的擾亂。

醒來吧，我的靈！醒來吧，里拉琴和豎琴，我要把黎明喚醒！

義人的意念都是公正；惡人的指引都是詭詐。

我的靈魂哪，你為什麼沮喪？為什麼在我裡面哀鳴？當期盼神！因為我還要稱謝我面前的救恩——我的神。

你們不可與不信的人同負一軛。公義和罪惡到底有什麼相通呢？光明與黑暗有什麼相合呢？

我的靈魂哪，你為什麼沮喪？為什麼在我裡面哀鳴？當期盼神！因為我還要為著他面前的救恩稱謝他。

我的靈魂哪，你為什麼沮喪？為什麼在我裡面哀鳴？當期盼神！因為我還要稱謝我面前的救恩——我的神。

然後，我要對我的靈魂說：靈魂哪，你擁有了很多好東西，足以享用多年，你就休息、吃喝、慶祝吧。』

我不與虛妄的人同坐，也不與偽善的人來往。我憎恨作惡的會眾，也不與惡人同坐。

好讓我的靈歌頌你，不致靜默。耶和華我的神哪，我要稱謝你，直到永遠！

這樣的人是多麼蒙福啊：他不從惡人的謀略，不站罪人的道路，不坐譏諷者的座位！

那些坐在奸惡王位上的，就是藉著律例製造禍患的，難道能成為你的盟友嗎？他們互相勾結攻擊義人，把無辜人定了死罪。

我的靈魂哪，你要頌讚耶和華！在我裡面的一切，都要頌讚他的聖名。

神哪，求你使他們承擔罪責！願他們因自己的計謀而跌倒；求你因他們眾多的過犯驅趕他們，因為他們悖逆了你。

到了第三天，當他們正疼痛的時候，雅各的兩個兒子，就是狄娜的哥哥西緬和利未，各拿刀劍，在全城毫無戒備的時候進去，把所有的男子都殺了。又用刀劍殺了哈抹和他的兒子示劍，然後把狄娜從示劍家裡帶走了。

如果他們說：「你與我們一起去吧，讓我們埋伏，殺人流血，任意設伏攻擊清白的人，

神哪，但願你殺掉惡人！殺人流血的人哪，你們遠離我吧！

如果這樣，我兒啊，不要與他們走同一條道路，要禁止你的腳走他們的路，因為他們的腳向惡事奔跑，他們快速地殺人流血。

不要把我與惡人、與作孽的一同拖走；他們與自己的鄰人說平安的話，心裡卻是奸惡。
