Let me not enter their council, let me not join their assembly, for they have killed men in their anger and hamstrung oxen as they pleased.

I won’t share in their plans. I won’t have anything to do with them. They became angry and killed people. They cut the legs of oxen just for the fun of it.

Let my soul come not into their council; O my glory, be not joined to their company. For in their anger they killed men, and in their willfulness they hamstrung oxen.

雅各责备西缅和利未说：“你们为什么要给我惹麻烦，使我在当地的迦南人和比利洗人中留下臭名呢？我们人数很少，要是他们联手来攻击我们，我们全家必遭灭门之祸。”

别把我的灵魂和罪人同毁，别把我的性命与嗜血之徒同灭。

因此，我的心欢喜，我的灵快乐，我的身体也安然无恙。

求你保护我免遭恶人的谋害，使我脱离不法之徒。

我的心啊，要振奋起来！琴瑟啊，弹奏吧！我要唤醒黎明！

义人的心思公平正直，恶人的计谋阴险诡诈。

我的心啊！你为何沮丧？为何烦躁？要仰望上帝，因为我还要赞美祂——我的救主，我的上帝。

不要和非信徒同负一轭，因为公义和不法怎能合作呢？光明和黑暗怎能共存呢？

‘凡暗杀邻居的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’

那时，我就可以对自己说，“你积存这么多财产，一生享用不尽，现在大可高枕无忧、尽情地吃喝玩乐吧！”’

我没有与诡诈者为伍，没有跟虚伪之人同流。我憎恨奸恶之辈，不愿与恶人交往。

好叫我从心底歌颂你，不致默然无声。我的上帝耶和华啊，我要永远向你感恩！

不从恶人的计谋，不与罪人为伍，不和轻慢上帝的人同流合污，只喜爱耶和华的律法，昼夜默诵，这样的人有福了！

借律例制造不幸的首领，岂能与你联盟？他们结党攻击义人，残害无辜。

我的心啊，要称颂耶和华，我要全心全意地称颂祂的圣名。

我的心啊，我的心啊！我伤心欲绝，烦躁不安。我无法保持缄默，因为我听见了号角声和呐喊声。

上帝啊，求你定他们的罪，让他们作茧自缚。他们背叛你，罪恶深重，求你把他们赶走。

到了第三天，他们伤口正疼痛的时候，雅各的两个儿子——底娜的哥哥西缅和利未拿着利剑，乘众人没有防备，潜入城中，杀掉了所有的男子，包括哈抹和示剑，从示剑家里带走了底娜。

他们若说：“跟我们来吧，我们去埋伏杀人，暗害无辜者取乐；

耶和华啊，愿你杀戮恶人！嗜血成性的人啊，你们走开！

孩子啊，不要走他们的道，切莫行他们的路。因为他们奔向罪恶，急速地去杀人流血。

求你不要把我与奸恶人一同责罚，他们对邻居口蜜腹剑。
