他的儿子以撒和以实玛利把他葬在幔利对面、赫提人琐哈尔的儿子以弗仑田中的麦比拉洞穴里；

以撒年纪老迈，尽享天年，气绝而死，归到他的先人那里。他的儿子以扫和雅各把他安葬了。

他们把他运到迦南地，葬在幔利对面的麦比拉田间的洞穴里。那田是亚伯拉罕向赫提人以弗仑买来的，作为他拥有的坟地。

遗体被带回示剑，安放到亚伯拉罕在示剑用一笔银子从哈莫尔的子孙买来的坟墓里。

我与我祖先长眠的时候，你要把我带出埃及，把我葬在他们的安葬之地。”约瑟说：“我必照着你的吩咐去做。”

然后亚伯拉罕从死者身旁起来，对赫提的子孙们说：

亚伯拉罕听了，就照以弗仑在赫提子孙们面前所说的银价，给他称了四百谢克尔商用的银子。这样，以弗仑的那块田地，就是幔利对面在麦比拉的田地，包括其中的洞穴和地界内所有的树木，在所有来到城门口的赫提子孙眼前，转给亚伯拉罕作他的财产。此后亚伯拉罕把他的妻子撒拉葬在迦南地，幔利对面、麦比拉田中的洞穴里；幔利就是希伯仑。于是那块田地和其中的洞穴，由赫提的子孙们转给了亚伯拉罕，作为他拥有的坟地。
