Then he gave them these instructions:“ I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite,

Then Jacob gave directions to his sons. He said,“ I’m about to join the members of my family who have already died. Bury me with them in the cave in the field of Ephron, the Hittite.

我與我祖先同睡的時候，你要將我帶出埃及，把我葬在他們所葬的地方。」約瑟說：「我必遵照你的吩咐去做。」

他們把他送到迦南地，葬在幔利對面的麥比拉田間的洞裏；那田是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買來作墳地的產業。

至於你，你要平平安安歸到你祖先那裏，必享長壽，被人埋葬。

有名字記錄在天上眾長子的盛會，有審判眾人的神和成為完全的義人的靈魂，

以撒年紀老邁，安享天年，息勞而終，歸到他祖先那裏。他兩個兒子以掃和雅各把他安葬了。

按着所得的恩典，我們各有不同的恩賜：或說預言，要按着信心的程度說預言；或服事的，要專一服事；或教導的，要專一教導；或勸勉的，要專一勸勉；施捨的，要誠實；治理的，要殷勤；憐憫人的，要樂意。愛，不可虛假；惡，要厭惡；善，要親近。愛弟兄，要相親相愛；恭敬人，要彼此推讓；殷勤，不可懶惰。要靈裏火熱；常常服侍主。在盼望中要喜樂；在患難中要忍耐；禱告要恆切。聖徒有缺乏，要供給；異鄉客，要殷勤款待。要祝福迫害你們的，要祝福，不可詛咒。要與喜樂的人同樂；要與哀哭的人同哭。要彼此同心，不要心高氣傲，倒要俯就卑微的人。不要自以為聰明。不要以惡報惡，眾人以為美的事要留心去做。若是可行，總要盡力與眾人和睦。各位親愛的，不要自己伸冤，寧可給主的憤怒留地步，因為經上記着：「主說：『伸冤在我，我必報應。』」不但如此，「你的仇敵若餓了，就給他吃；若渴了，就給他喝。因為你這樣做，就是把炭火堆在他的頭上。」不要被惡所勝，反要以善勝惡。

請讓我回去，死在我本城，葬在我父母的墓旁。看哪，這裏有金罕作王的僕人，讓他同我主我王過去，你看怎樣好，就怎樣對待他吧。」

亞伯拉罕壽高年邁，安享天年，息勞而終，歸到他祖先那裏。他兩個兒子以撒、以實瑪利把他安葬在麥比拉洞裏。這洞在幔利的對面、赫人瑣轄的兒子以弗崙的田中，就是亞伯拉罕向赫人買的那塊田。亞伯拉罕和他妻子撒拉都葬在那裏。亞伯拉罕死了以後，神賜福給他的兒子以撒。以撒住在庇耳‧拉海‧萊附近。這是撒拉的婢女、埃及人夏甲為亞伯拉罕生的兒子以實瑪利的後代。以實瑪利兒子們的名字，按着他們後代的名字如下：以實瑪利的長子尼拜約，又有基達、亞德別、米比衫、米施瑪、度瑪、瑪撒、哈大、提瑪、伊突、拿非施和基底瑪。這些都是以實瑪利的兒子們。他們的村莊和營寨按着他們命名；他們作了十二族的族長。以實瑪利一生的歲數是一百三十七歲，斷氣而死，歸到他祖先那裏。
