Then he gave them these instructions:“ I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite,

Then Jacob gave directions to his sons. He said,“ I’m about to join the members of my family who have already died. Bury me with them in the cave in the field of Ephron, the Hittite.

我同我祖我父長眠的時候，你要將我帶出埃及，埋葬在他們的葬地裏。』約瑟說：『我要照你所說的話來作。』

至於你呢，你卻要安安然然地歸回你列祖那裏，得享長壽，受人埋葬。

有名錄在天上諸首生者的歡樂盛會或總聚會、有審判主、萬人的上帝、有已得完全的義人之靈、

以撒年紀老邁，歲數滿足，氣絕而死，被收殮歸他先族人；他的兒子以掃雅各把他埋葬了。

我們按着所賜給我們的恩得恩賜，各有不同：或是傳講神言，就該按着信心的程度用那恩賜；或是擔任執事，就該用在執事上；或是教導的，就該用在教導上；或是勸慰的，就該用在勸慰上。分給的呢、要用慷慨的心；督導的呢、要用熱切；憐恤人的呢、要歡悅喜樂。愛要不裝假。惡要厭惡，善要親近。論弟兄們之相愛、要彼此親愛；論敬重人、要互相推尊；論熱切、要不因循；心靈要火熱；對主要服事；要因指望而喜樂；在苦難中要堅忍；禱告要恆心而專一；聖徒的缺乏、要用團契的捐輸相賙濟；樂意款待旅客的事要力行。逼迫你們的，要給他們祝福：要祝福，別咒詛了；要和喜樂的人同喜樂，和哭泣的人同哭泣；彼此相待、要存着同樣的心意；不要意念着高傲的事，要俯就着卑微的事；別自以為精明了。不要以惡報惡；眾人以為美好的、務要籌謀。若是可能，總要盡其在你們的、跟眾人和睦。親愛的，不要自己伸冤，寧可給上帝的義怒留地步；因為經上記着說：『主說，伸冤在我，我必報應。』不，『你的仇敵若餓了，你要分給他喫；若渴了，你要給他喝；因為你這樣行、就是把燒𤏲的炭堆在他頭上。』別為惡所勝了，總要以善勝惡。

請准僕人回去，我好死在本城，在我父母墓旁。看哪，你僕人金罕在這裏呢；讓他同我主我王過去；你看怎麼好，就怎麼待他吧。

亞伯拉罕得享長壽，年老壽足、氣絕而死，被收殮歸他先族人。他兒子以撒和以實瑪利將他埋葬在麥比拉洞裏，在幔利東面、赫人瑣轄的兒子以弗崙的田地中，就是亞伯拉罕向赫人買的那塊田地：亞伯拉罕和他妻子撒拉是埋葬在那裏的。亞伯拉罕死了以後，上帝賜福與他的兒子以撒，以撒靠近庇耳拉海萊住下。以下這些人是以實瑪利的後代：以實瑪利是亞伯拉罕的兒子，就是撒拉的婢女埃及人夏甲給亞伯拉罕生的。以下這幾名是以實瑪利子孫的名字，按名字、照世系排列的：以實瑪利的大兒子是尼拜約；其餘的兒子是基達、亞德別、米比衫、米施瑪、度瑪、瑪撒、哈達、提瑪、伊突、拿非施、基底瑪：這些人是以實瑪利的兒子；這幾名是他們的名字，按他們的村莊和營房做了十二個族長，各照他們的宗族。以實瑪利一生的年日是一百三十七歲；他氣絕而死，就被收殮歸他先族人。
