我与我祖先长眠的时候，你要把我带出埃及，把我葬在他们的安葬之地。”约瑟说：“我必照着你的吩咐去做。”

他们把他运到迦南地，葬在幔利对面的麦比拉田间的洞穴里。那田是亚伯拉罕向赫提人以弗仑买来的，作为他拥有的坟地。

至于你，你必平平安安地归到你祖先那里，你必尽享天年，才被安葬。

来到了长子们的教会面前——他们的名字已经登记在天上；来到了神面前——他是万人的审判者；来到了义人的灵魂面前——他们得以完全；

以撒年纪老迈，尽享天年，气绝而死，归到他的先人那里。他的儿子以扫和雅各把他安葬了。

照着所赐给我们的恩典，我们各有不同的恩赐：如果是做先知传道的恩赐，就按照信心的程度用它；如果是服事的，就用在服事上；如果是教导的，就用在教导上；如果是劝勉的，就用在劝勉上；分享的，要慷慨；带领的，要殷勤；怜悯人的，要甘心乐意。爱，不要虚假；要厌弃恶、持守善；要以弟兄之情彼此相爱，以尊敬之心彼此谦让，殷勤而不懒惰，灵里时时火热，常常服事主。在盼望中要欢喜，在患难里要忍耐，在祷告上要恒切。要分担圣徒的缺乏；尽力款待客旅。要祝福那些逼迫你们的人；要祝福，不要诅咒。要与快乐的人一同快乐；与哀哭的人一同哀哭。要彼此同心；不要心高气傲，而要俯就卑微的人；不要自以为聪明。不要对任何人以恶报恶；要敬重所有的人看为美善的事；如果有可能，尽量在你们的事上与所有的人和睦。各位蒙爱的人哪，不要自己报复，宁可给神的震怒留地步，因为经上记着：“主说：报应在我，我将回报。”不但如此，“如果你的敌人饿了，就给他吃；如果他渴了，就给他喝；因为你这样做，就是把炭火堆在他的头上。”不要被恶所胜，反要以善胜恶。

亚伯拉罕年迈高龄，尽享天年，气绝而死，归到他的先人那里。他的儿子以撒和以实玛利把他葬在幔利对面、赫提人琐哈尔的儿子以弗仑田中的麦比拉洞穴里；那块地是亚伯拉罕从赫提的子孙们那里买来的。亚伯拉罕和他的妻子撒拉都葬在那里。亚伯拉罕死了以后，神祝福他的儿子以撒；以撒在比珥-拉海-罗伊附近住下。以下是亚伯拉罕的儿子以实玛利的谱系：以实玛利是撒拉的婢女埃及人夏甲为亚伯拉罕所生的。以实玛利的儿子们，按着他们的谱系，名字如下：以实玛利的长子是尼拜约，然后是基达、亚德别、米比衫、米施玛、度玛、玛撒、哈达、提玛、伊突、拿非施和基底玛。这些是以实玛利的儿子，他们的名字就成了自己村庄和营寨的名字，他们也成了十二个部族的族长。以实玛利一生的年岁是一百三十七岁。他气绝而死，归到他的先人那里。
