No one was able to stand before them, for dread of them fell on all the peoples.All the officials of the provinces, the satraps, the governors and those who performed the king’s business were assisting the Jews, for the dread of Mordecai had fallen on them.Mordecai was of high rank in the king’s palace, and word about him was spreading throughout all the provinces. His influence continued to become greater and greater.The Jews struck all their enemies with the sword, bringing death and destruction, and they did as they pleased with their enemies.In Susa the citadel the Jews killed and destroyed five hundred men.In addition, they also killed Parshandatha, Dalphon, Aspatha,Poratha, Adalia, Aridatha,Parmashta, Arisai, Aridai, and Vaizatha,the ten sons of Haman son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews. But they did not confiscate their property.

Now I heard the number of those who were marked with the seal, one hundred and forty- four thousand, sealed from all the tribes of the people of Israel:

Indeed, you will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of King Uzziah of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come with all his holy ones with him.On that day there will be no light– the sources of light in the heavens will congeal.It will happen in one day( a day known to the LORD); not in the day or the night, but in the evening there will be light.
