「先祖們嫉妒自己的弟弟約瑟，把他賣到了埃及。但上帝一直與他同在，

於是，那些米甸商人經過的時候，他們就把約瑟從井裡拉上來，以二百二十克銀子的價錢把他賣給了以實瑪利人。這些商人把他帶到埃及去了。

他們要安居在我賜給我僕人雅各的土地上，就是你們祖先居住的地方。他們世世代代都要居住在那裡，我僕人大衛要永遠做他們的王。我要與他們訂立永存的平安之約，使他們安居，人丁興旺。我的聖所要永遠設立在他們當中。

大山可以挪開，小山可以遷移，但我的慈愛必不離開你，我平安的約也不會更改。這是憐憫你的耶和華說的。

雅各就挨上前去親了父親。以撒聞到他衣服上的氣味，就祝福他說：「我兒子的香氣就像蒙耶和華賜福之田地的香氣。願上帝賜你天上的甘霖、肥沃的土地並豐富的五穀和新酒。願萬民都臣服於你，萬國都向你下拜。願你成為你弟兄的主人，願你母親的兒子向你下拜。咒詛你的，願他受咒詛；祝福你的，願他蒙祝福。」

「你把以下條例告訴以色列人。「無論男女，如果許願做拿細耳人，把自己獻給耶和華，
