恃以色列有力之牧者、即雅各有能之上帝、故其弓仍勁、其手尚強。

惟賴雅各之全能天主、其弓堅勁、手臂強捷、由此為牧、為以色列所倚之磐、

But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

But his bow remained steady. His strong arms moved freely. The hand of the Mighty God of Jacob was with him. The Shepherd, the Rock of Israel, stood by him.

But his bow remained taut, and his arms were strengthened by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, by the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel.

Yet his bow remained steady, and his strong arms were made agile by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, by the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

But his bow remained firm, And his arms were agile, From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob( From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),

But his bow remained in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong By the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob( From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),

But his bow abode in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong, By the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob( From thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel),

Yet his bow remained steady, and his strong arms were made agile by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, by the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

But his bow remained strong. The arms of his hands were made strong, by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob,( from there is the shepherd, the stone of Israel),

therefore thus says the Lord God,“ Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation:‘ Whoever believes will not be in haste.’

how he swore to the Lord and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob,

until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

my glory fresh with me, and my bow ever new in my hand.’

This God— his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock. You who are enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth.

built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,

“ The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.

Therefore the Lord declares, the Lord of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel:“ Ah, I will get relief from my enemies and avenge myself on my foes.

The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

For they all wanted to frighten us, thinking,“ Their hands will drop from the work, and it will not be done.” But now, O God, strengthen my hands.

“ Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregationwho shall go out before them and come in before them, who shall lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be as sheep that have no shepherd.”So the Lord said to Moses,“ Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.

There I will provide for you, for there are yet five years of famine to come, so that you and your household, and all that you have, do not come to poverty.’

As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious,you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.For it stands in Scripture:“ Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe,“ The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”and“ A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.” They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

And he said,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

So do not fear; I will provide for you and your little ones.” Thus he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

And those who go astray in spirit will come to understanding, and those who murmur will accept instruction.”

Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless.He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights.He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great.

being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy;

The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose way is upright;their sword shall enter their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

I will make them strong in the Lord, and they shall walk in his name,” declares the Lord.

fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

For behold, on the stone that I have set before Joshua, on a single stone with seven eyes, I will engrave its inscription, declares the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day.

And Joseph provided his father, his brothers, and all his father’s household with food, according to the number of their dependents.

Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem and summoned the elders, the heads, the judges, and the officers of Israel. And they presented themselves before God.And Joshua said to all the people,“ Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel,‘ Long ago, your fathers lived beyond the Euphrates, Terah, the father of Abraham and of Nahor; and they served other gods.Then I took your father Abraham from beyond the River and led him through all the land of Canaan, and made his offspring many. I gave him Isaac.And to Isaac I gave Jacob and Esau. And I gave Esau the hill country of Seir to possess, but Jacob and his children went down to Egypt.And I sent Moses and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt with what I did in the midst of it, and afterward I brought you out.“‘ Then I brought your fathers out of Egypt, and you came to the sea. And the Egyptians pursued your fathers with chariots and horsemen to the Red Sea.And when they cried to the Lord, he put darkness between you and the Egyptians and made the sea come upon them and cover them; and your eyes saw what I did in Egypt. And you lived in the wilderness a long time.Then I brought you to the land of the Amorites, who lived on the other side of the Jordan. They fought with you, and I gave them into your hand, and you took possession of their land, and I destroyed them before you.Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and fought against Israel. And he sent and invited Balaam the son of Beor to curse you,but I would not listen to Balaam. Indeed, he blessed you. So I delivered you out of his hand.And you went over the Jordan and came to Jericho, and the leaders of Jericho fought against you, and also the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. And I gave them into your hand.And I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out before you, the two kings of the Amorites; it was not by your sword or by your bow.I gave you a land on which you had not labored and cities that you had not built, and you dwell in them. You eat the fruit of vineyards and olive orchards that you did not plant.’“ Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”Then the people answered,“ Far be it from us that we should forsake the Lord to serve other gods,for it is the Lord our God who brought us and our fathers up from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, and who did those great signs in our sight and preserved us in all the way that we went, and among all the peoples through whom we passed.And the Lord drove out before us all the peoples, the Amorites who lived in the land. Therefore we also will serve the Lord, for he is our God.”But Joshua said to the people,“ You are not able to serve the Lord, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions or your sins.If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, then he will turn and do you harm and consume you, after having done you good.”And the people said to Joshua,“ No, but we will serve the Lord.”Then Joshua said to the people,“ You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen the Lord, to serve him.” And they said,“ We are witnesses.”He said,“ Then put away the foreign gods that are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.”And the people said to Joshua,“ The Lord our God we will serve, and his voice we will obey.”So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and put in place statutes and rules for them at Shechem.And Joshua wrote these words in the Book of the Law of God. And he took a large stone and set it up there under the terebinth that was by the sanctuary of the Lord.And Joshua said to all the people,“ Behold, this stone shall be a witness against us, for it has heard all the words of the Lord that he spoke to us. Therefore it shall be a witness against you, lest you deal falsely with your God.”So Joshua sent the people away, every man to his inheritance.After these things Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died, being 110 years old.And they buried him in his own inheritance at Timnath-serah, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, north of the mountain of Gaash.Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua and had known all the work that the Lord did for Israel.As for the bones of Joseph, which the people of Israel brought up from Egypt, they buried them at Shechem, in the piece of land that Jacob bought from the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for a hundred pieces of money. It became an inheritance of the descendants of Joseph.And Eleazar the son of Aaron died, and they buried him at Gibeah, the town of Phinehas his son, which had been given him in the hill country of Ephraim.

And God said to him,“ Your name is Jacob; no longer shall your name be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name.” So he called his name Israel.And God said to him,“ I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply. A nation and a company of nations shall come from you, and kings shall come from your own body.

Jesus said to them,“ Have you never read in the Scriptures:“‘ The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?

But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth.

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.

And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors.

But he looked directly at them and said,“ What then is this that is written:“‘ The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’?

I love you, O Lord, my strength.

And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life.

After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant,“ Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses.From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your territory.No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

I will sing of the steadfast love of the Lord, forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.

Have you not read this Scripture:“‘ The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;

But you have saved us from our foes and have put to shame those who hate us.

The Lord is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed.

You shall suck the milk of nations; you shall nurse at the breast of kings; and you shall know that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. So the people of Israel obeyed him and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.
