Joseph said to his father,“ They are my sons, whom God has given me in this place.” And he said,“ Please bring them to me, and I will bless them.”

“ They are the sons God has given me here,” Joseph said to his father. Then Israel said,“ Bring them to me so I may bless them.”

By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.

So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying,“ Because I have asked for him from the Lord.”

And Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, and say,“ The Lord give you descendants from this woman for the loan that was given to the Lord.” Then they would go to their own home.And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile the child Samuel grew before the Lord.

Therefore may God give you Of the dew of heaven, Of the fatness of the earth, And plenty of grain and wine.Let peoples serve you, And nations bow down to you. Be master over your brethren, And let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you, And blessed be those who bless you!”

Moreover the sons of Obed-Edom were Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Sacar the fourth, Nethanel the fifth,Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth; for God blessed him.

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.

“ May God Almighty bless you, And make you fruitful and multiply you, That you may be an assembly of peoples;And give you the blessing of Abraham, To you and your descendants with you, That you may inherit the land In which you are a stranger, Which God gave to Abraham.”

Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for signs and wonders in Israel From the Lord of hosts, Who dwells in Mount Zion.

And Jacob’s anger was aroused against Rachel, and he said,“ Am I in the place of God, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?”

Do not let the son of the foreigner Who has joined himself to the Lord Speak, saying,“ The Lord has utterly separated me from His people”; Nor let the eunuch say,“ Here I am, a dry tree.”For thus says the Lord:“ To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant,Even to them I will give in My house And within My walls a place and a name Better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name That shall not be cut off.
