And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt,[ are] mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.

“ Now then, your two sons born to you in Egypt before I came to you here will be reckoned as mine; Ephraim and Manasseh will be mine, just as Reuben and Simeon are mine.

“ Now then, two sons were born to you in Egypt. It happened before I came to you here. They will be counted as my own sons. Ephraim and Manasseh will belong to me, in the same way that Reuben and Simeon belong to me.

And now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh shall be mine, as Reuben and Simeon are.

“ Now I am claiming as my own sons these two boys of yours, Ephraim and Manasseh, who were born here in the land of Egypt before I arrived. They will be my sons, just as Reuben and Simeon are.

Your two sons born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt are now mine. Ephraim and Manasseh belong to me just as Reuben and Simeon do.

Now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh shall be mine, as Reuben and Simeon are.

And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God,[ said he], hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell[ in], with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance.

And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.

Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh,

Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel,( for he[ was] the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him[ came] the chief ruler; but the birthright[ was] Joseph’s:)

And the lot of the children of Joseph fell from Jordan by Jericho, unto the water of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness that goeth up from Jericho throughout mount Bethel,And goeth out from Bethel to Luz, and passeth along unto the borders of Archi to Ataroth,And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto the coast of Bethhoron the nether, and to Gezer: and the goings out thereof are at the sea.So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was[ thus]: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was Atarothaddar, unto Bethhoron the upper;And the border went out toward the sea to Michmethah on the north side; and the border went about eastward unto Taanathshiloh, and passed by it on the east to Janohah;And it went down from Janohah to Ataroth, and to Naarath, and came to Jericho, and went out at Jordan.The border went out from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This[ is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families.And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim[ were] among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.And they drave not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this day, and serve under tribute.

The sons of Joseph after their families[ were] Manasseh and Ephraim.Of the sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites: and Machir begat Gilead: of Gilead[ come] the family of the Gileadites.These[ are] the sons of Gilead:[ of] Jeezer, the family of the Jeezerites: of Helek, the family of the Helekites:And[ of] Asriel, the family of the Asrielites: and[ of] Shechem, the family of the Shechemites:And[ of] Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites: and[ of] Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.And Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad[ were] Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.These[ are] the families of Manasseh, and those that were numbered of them, fifty and two thousand and seven hundred.These[ are] the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthalhites: of Becher, the family of the Bachrites: of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.And these[ are] the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites.These[ are] the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred. These[ are] the sons of Joseph after their families.

But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called[ thee] by thy name; thou[ art] mine.

And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD[ am] holy, and have severed you from[ other] people, that ye should be mine.

Of the children of Joseph,[ namely], of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;Those that were numbered of them,[ even] of the tribe of Ephraim,[ were] forty thousand and five hundred.Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;Those that were numbered of them,[ even] of the tribe of Manasseh,[ were] thirty and two thousand and two hundred.

And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Of the tribe of Aser[ were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim[ were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses[ were] sealed twelve thousand.Of the tribe of Simeon[ were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi[ were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar[ were] sealed twelve thousand.

Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time[ was] the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
