以色列卻伸出右手，按在次子以法蓮的頭上；又交叉著伸出左手，按在瑪拿西的頭上；實際上瑪拿西才是長子。

以色列伸出右手来，按在以法莲的头上，以法莲乃是次子，又剪搭过左手来，按在玛拿西的头上，玛拿西原是长子。

以色列却伸出右手来，按在次子以法莲的头上，又交叉伸出左手来，按在长子玛拿西的头上。

But Israel reached out his right hand and put it on Ephraim’s head, though he was the younger, and crossing his arms, he put his left hand on Manasseh’s head, even though Manasseh was the firstborn.

約瑟給長子起名為瑪拿西，因為他說：「神使我忘了我一切的苦難和我父的全家。」

那時，有一些小孩子被帶到耶穌那裡，好讓耶穌按手在他們身上，給他們禱告。門徒們卻責備那些人。

耶和華對我主宣告：「你坐在我的右邊，等我使你的仇敵作你的腳凳。」

然後耶穌按手在她身上，她的腰立刻直了，她就不住地榮耀神。

於是彼得和約翰按手在他們身上，他們就領受了聖靈。西門看見因著使徒們的按手，有聖靈賜下，就拿了錢給他們，說：「請把這權柄也給我，使我按手在誰身上，誰就可以領受聖靈。」

約瑟對他父親說：「我的父親哪，這樣不對！這一個才是長子，你要把右手放在他的頭上。」

日落的時候，眾人把患有各種疾病的人都帶到耶穌那裡。他按手在他們每一個人身上，使他們痊癒。

於是，耶穌按手在他們身上，然後離開那地方。

「你們禱告的時候，不要像偽善的人那樣。他們喜愛站在會堂裡和十字路口禱告，好讓人看見。我確實地告訴你們：他們已經得到了他們的報償。

他們請這些人站在使徒們面前，使徒們就禱告，按手在他們身上。

瑪拿西和以法蓮是安城的祭司波提·非拉的女兒婭希納在埃及地為約瑟所生的；

我還告訴你：你是彼得，我要在這磐石上建立我的教會，陰間的門不能勝過它。

不要輕易給人按手，也不要在別人的罪孽上有份，要保守自己純潔。

於是他們禁食、禱告，按手在巴拿巴和掃羅身上，就送他們走了。

不要忽視在你裡面的恩賜；這恩賜是藉著預言，隨著長老們的按手賜給你的。

耶和華的右手高舉，耶和華的右手做大能的事！」
