約瑟循法老命、以埃及之沃土、蘭塞境、賜父兄為業。

爾於民中、簡其具才能、惡苞苴、真實無妄、寅畏上帝者、立為千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長、

人勤庶事、當在王所、必不久居賤役。

近者迦南饑甚、牲畜無蒭、故欲旅此、求法老許僕居坷山。

於以色列族中、簡才能出眾者、立為民長、即千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長、

如是爾我偕居、地具在爾前、居此貿易、享其土宜。

其不以耶和華命為意者、僕眾與群畜、仍遺於田。○

則爾在田之群畜、耶和華必降以災、使馬驢駝牛羊、遍染疫癘。以色列群畜、耶和華心區別之、使毫釐無損。耶和華定期曰、明日我於斯土、必行是事。次日耶和華果行此、埃及人在田之群畜盡斃、而以色列族之群畜、不死一牲。

爾既以萬民之權賜我、則我以永生賜爾所予我之人、

地具在爾前、爾我可相區別、爾左我右、可也、爾右我左、亦可也。

是日掃羅牧長、以東人多益、因有事故、留於耶和華室前。

沙崙人失勑、掌沙崙山所牧之牛。押賴子沙法、掌在谷之牛。以實馬利人阿必、掌駝米崙人耶底亞掌驢。哈其利人雅實掌羊。以上所載、皆掌大闢王之所有。

二人遂掬爐灰、立法老前、摩西向天揚之、使人畜悉生瘡痍。

亞庇米力曰、吾之土地、具在爾前、任意居之。

烏西亞牧群畜於平原、故築戍樓、多掘井、又務農事、山巔良田有農夫以耕之、葡萄園有場師以治之。

迎父與眷聚就我、我必以埃及嘉物賜爾、享地之膏腴。必遵我命、以埃及之車、迎父以至、並載妻孥。遍埃及之嘉物皆以賜爾、毋惜爾之器皿。

約瑟曰、金既盡、盍以畜易粟。

王志所向、耶和華挽其意、如回狂瀾於既倒。
