约瑟安顿他的父亲和兄弟，遵照法老的命令，把埃及境内最好的地，就是兰塞地，给他们作为产业。

你也要从百姓中选出有才能的人，敬畏上帝、诚实可靠、恨恶不义之财的人，派他们作千夫长、百夫长、五十夫长、十夫长来管理百姓。

你看见办事殷勤的人吗？他必侍立在君王面前，不在平庸的人面前。

他们又对法老说：“迦南地的饥荒非常严重，仆人的羊群没有牧草，所以我们来到这地寄居。现在求你准许仆人住在歌珊地。”

摩西从以色列人中选出有才能的人，立他们为百姓的领袖，作千夫长、百夫长、五十夫长、十夫长。

你们与我们同住吧！这地都在你们面前，只管在这里居住，做买卖，置产业。”

但那不把耶和华这话放在心上的，就把他的奴仆和牲畜留在田里。

看哪，耶和华的手必以严重的瘟疫加在你田间的牲畜上，就是在马、驴、骆驼、牛群和羊群的身上。耶和华却要分别以色列的牲畜和埃及的牲畜，凡属以色列人的，一只都不死。’”耶和华就设定时间，说：“明天耶和华必在此地行这事。”第二天，耶和华行了这事。埃及的牲畜全都死了，只是以色列人的牲畜，一只都没有死。

因为你曾赐给他权柄掌管凡血肉之躯的，使他把永生赐给你所赐给他的人。

遍地不都在你眼前吗？请你离开我吧！你向左，我就向右；你向右，我就向左。”

当日，有扫罗的一个臣仆在那里，他留在耶和华的面前，名叫多益，是以东人，作扫罗的畜牧长。

管理沙仑牧放牛群的是沙仑人施提莱。管理山谷牧养牛群的是亚第莱的儿子沙法。管理骆驼群的是以实玛利人阿比勒。管理驴群的是米仑人耶希底亚。管理羊群的是夏甲人雅悉。这些都是为大卫王管理产业的领袖。

摩西和亚伦取了炉灰，站在法老面前。摩西把它撒在空中，人和牲畜的身上就起泡生疮了。

亚比米勒说：“看哪，我的地都在你面前，你看为好的地方就居住吧。”

他在旷野建筑瞭望楼，又挖了许多井，因为他在谢非拉和平原有很多牲畜。他在山区和肥沃的土地雇用耕种田地和修整葡萄园的人，因为他喜爱土地。

请你们的父亲和你们的家属都到我这里来，我要把埃及地的美物赐给你们，你们也要吃这地肥美的出产。’你要吩咐他们：‘要这样做：从埃及地带着车辆去，把你们的孩子和妻子，以及你们的父亲都接来。你们的眼不要顾惜你们的家具，因为埃及全地的美物都是你们的。’”

约瑟说：“银子若是用完了，可以把你们的牲畜卖给我，我就以你们的牲畜换粮食给你们。”

王的心在耶和华手中像河水，他能使它随意流转。
