約瑟遵法老命、以伊及膏腴之地、即蘭塞境內、使父兄居為業、

爾於眾民中選才德兼備、敬畏天主、真實無妄、不貪財利者、立之為千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長、以治理斯民、

爾見人作事殷勤、可逆料其將侍於王前、必不久居賤人之中、不久居賤人之中原文作不侍於賤人之前

又對法老曰、迦南地饑甚、無芻牧畜、故僕來此旅居、今求許僕居歌珊地、

在以色列人中、選有才德者、立為民之首、為千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長、

爾我同居、地皆於爾前、可居之貿易獲業、

惟不以主言為意者、則遺僕與畜在田、○

耶和華必降災於爾在田之群畜、使馬驢駝牛羊、遍染疫癘、主必區別以色列人之畜與伊及人之畜、使凡屬以色列人者、一無所斃、主定期曰、明日必在斯地行是事、次日、主果行是事、伊及之群畜盡斃、惟以色列人之牲畜、無一斃者、

因爾以治萬民之權賜子、使子以永生賜爾所予子之人、

遍地於爾前、爾可離我、爾左則我右、爾右則我左、

是日、有掃羅之一臣、留於主前、乃以東人名多益、為掃羅之司牧長、

沙倫人施提賚、掌牧於沙倫之牛群、亞第賚子沙法、掌牧於谷中之牛群、以實瑪利人阿比勒、掌駝群、米崙人耶底雅、掌驢群、哈基利人雅悉、掌羊群、以上所載、皆掌大衛王之所有、

二人遂取爐灰、立於法老前、摩西向天揚之、使人與畜皆生瘡、

亞比米勒又曰、屬我之地、具於爾前、可任意居之、

在曠野建戍樓、又多掘井、以其在窪地、在平原、多有群畜、又在山地、在迦密、迦密或作良田有農夫與治葡萄園者、因其甚悅農事、

迎父與家屬就我、我以伊及地之嘉物或作伊及至美之地下同賜爾、可享地之膏腴、我命爾當如是行、由伊及地取車輛、載爾妻子、迎爾父來此、毋惜爾之家具、蓋遍伊及地之嘉物、必賜爾曹、

約瑟曰、銀既盡、則付我畜、我為爾畜以糧給爾、

王之心志、在主掌握、隨意引之、如溝洫之水然、
