約瑟遵着法老的命，把埃及國最好的地，就是蘭塞境內的地，給他父親和弟兄居住，作為產業。

並要從百姓中揀選有才能的人，就是敬畏神、誠實無妄、恨不義之財的人，派他們作千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長，管理百姓，

你看見辦事殷勤的人嗎？他必站在君王面前，必不站在下賤人面前。

他們又對法老說：「迦南地的饑荒甚大，僕人的羊羣沒有草吃，所以我們來到這地寄居。現在求你容僕人住在歌珊地。」

摩西從以色列人中揀選了有才能的人，立他們為百姓的首領，作千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長。

你們與我們同住吧！這地都在你們面前，只管在此居住，做買賣，置產業。」

但那不把耶和華這話放在心上的，就將他的奴僕和牲畜留在田裏。

耶和華的手加在你田間的牲畜上，就是在馬、驢、駱駝、牛羣、羊羣上，必有重重的瘟疫。耶和華要分別以色列的牲畜和埃及的牲畜，凡屬以色列人的，一樣都不死。』」耶和華就定了時候，說：「明天耶和華必在此地行這事。」第二天，耶和華就行這事。埃及的牲畜幾乎都死了，只是以色列人的牲畜，一個都沒有死。

正如你曾賜給他權柄管理凡有血氣的，叫他將永生賜給你所賜給他的人。

遍地不都在你眼前嗎？請你離開我：你向左，我就向右；你向右，我就向左。」

當日有掃羅的一個臣子留在耶和華面前。他名叫多益，是以東人，作掃羅的司牧長。）

掌管沙崙牧放牛羣的是沙崙人施提賚。掌管山谷牧養牛羣的是亞第賚的兒子沙法。掌管駝羣的是以實瑪利人阿比勒。掌管驢羣的是米崙人耶希底亞。掌管羊羣的是夏甲人雅悉。這都是給大衛王掌管產業的。

摩西、亞倫取了爐灰，站在法老面前。摩西向天揚起來，就在人身上和牲畜身上成了起泡的瘡。

亞比米勒又說：「看哪，我的地都在你面前，你可以隨意居住」；

又在曠野與高原和平原，建築望樓，挖了許多井，因他的牲畜甚多；又在山地和佳美之地，有農夫和修理葡萄園的人，因為他喜悅農事。

將你們的父親和你們的眷屬都搬到我這裏來，我要把埃及地的美物賜給你們，你們也要吃這地肥美的出產。現在我吩咐你們要這樣行：從埃及地帶着車輛去，把你們的孩子和妻子，並你們的父親都搬來。你們眼中不要愛惜你們的家具，因為埃及全地的美物都是你們的。』」

約瑟說：「若是銀子用盡了，可以把你們的牲畜給我，我就為你們的牲畜給你們糧食。」

王的心在耶和華手中，好像隴溝的水隨意流轉。
