约瑟遵着法老的命，把埃及国最好的地，就是兰塞境内的地，给他父亲和弟兄居住，作为产业。

并要从百姓中拣选有才能的人，就是敬畏神、诚实无妄、恨不义之财的人，派他们作千夫长、百夫长、五十夫长、十夫长，管理百姓，

你看见办事殷勤的人吗？他必站在君王面前，必不站在下贱人面前。

他们又对法老说：“迦南地的饥荒甚大，仆人的羊群没有草吃，所以我们来到这地寄居。现在求你容仆人住在歌珊地。”

摩西从以色列人中拣选了有才能的人，立他们为百姓的首领，作千夫长、百夫长、五十夫长、十夫长。

你们与我们同住吧！这地都在你们面前，只管在此居住，做买卖，置产业。”

但那不把耶和华这话放在心上的，就将他的奴仆和牲畜留在田里。

耶和华的手加在你田间的牲畜上，就是在马、驴、骆驼、牛群、羊群上，必有重重的瘟疫。耶和华要分别以色列的牲畜和埃及的牲畜，凡属以色列人的，一样都不死。’”耶和华就定了时候，说：“明天耶和华必在此地行这事。”第二天，耶和华就行这事。埃及的牲畜几乎都死了，只是以色列人的牲畜，一个都没有死。

正如你曾赐给他权柄管理凡有血气的，叫他将永生赐给你所赐给他的人。

遍地不都在你眼前吗？请你离开我：你向左，我就向右；你向右，我就向左。”

当日有扫罗的一个臣子留在耶和华面前。他名叫多益，是以东人，作扫罗的司牧长。

掌管沙仑牧放牛群的是沙仑人施提赉。掌管山谷牧养牛群的是亚第赉的儿子沙法。掌管驼群的是以实玛利人阿比勒。掌管驴群的是米仑人耶希底亚。掌管羊群的是夏甲人雅悉。这都是给大卫王掌管产业的。

摩西、亚伦取了炉灰，站在法老面前。摩西向天扬起来，就在人身上和牲畜身上成了起泡的疮。

亚比米勒又说：“看哪，我的地都在你面前，你可以随意居住”；

又在旷野与高原和平原，建筑望楼，挖了许多井，因他的牲畜甚多；又在山地和佳美之地，有农夫和修理葡萄园的人，因为他喜悦农事。

将你们的父亲和你们的眷属都搬到我这里来，我要把埃及地的美物赐给你们，你们也要吃这地肥美的出产。现在我吩咐你们要这样行：从埃及地带着车辆去，把你们的孩子和妻子，并你们的父亲都搬来。你们眼中不要爱惜你们的家具，因为埃及全地的美物都是你们的。’”

约瑟说：“若是银子用尽了，可以把你们的牲畜给我，我就为你们的牲畜给你们粮食。”

王的心在耶和华手中，好像陇沟的水随意流转。
