约瑟照着法老的吩咐让他的父亲和兄弟们安置下来，又把埃及地最好的地方，就是兰塞境内的地，给他们作产业。

你看见过做事老练的人吗？他必站在君王面前，而不会站在低微的人面前。

他们又对法老说：“我们来是要在这地寄居，因为迦南地的饥荒严重，你仆人们的羊群没有草场了；现在求你容许仆人们住在歌珊地。”

这样，你们可以与我们一起居住；这地就在你们面前，住在这里做买卖，置产业吧！”

正如你赐给他权柄管辖所有的人，好让他把永恒的生命给与一切你所赐给他的人。

全地不都在你面前吗？请你与我分开吧。如果你向左，我就向右；如果你向右，我就向左。”

那天，扫罗的臣仆中有一个人也在那里，被留在耶和华面前，名叫多益，是以东人，他是扫罗的畜牧长。

亚比米勒说：“看哪，我的地都在你面前，你看哪里好，就住哪里吧！”

带上你们的父亲和你们的家人，到我这里来；我要把埃及地的美物赐给你们，你们也要吃这地上最好的。’现在你要受命去说：‘当这样做：从埃及地带上车辆，给你们的孩子和妻子坐，并且带着你们的父亲一起来。你们的眼目不要顾惜你们的家什，因为埃及全地的美物都是你们的。’”

约瑟说：“如果银子用完了，可以把你们的牲畜带来。我就给你们粮食，来换你们的牲畜。”

王的心在耶和华的手中，就像河渠的水：耶和华可以任意使它流转。
