好使他永久存活，不看到陰坑。

誰能存活而不見死亡呢？誰能救自己的靈魂脫離陰間的權勢呢？細拉

雅各下到埃及，後來他死了，我們的祖先也死了，遺體被帶回示劍，安放到亞伯拉罕在示劍用一筆銀子從哈莫爾的子孫買來的墳墓裡。

因著信，約瑟臨終的時候，提到以色列子民出埃及的事，也為自己的骸骨留下了遺言。

確實我們都會死去，如同潑在地上的水不能收回，但神不是要取人性命，而是要想出方法不讓流亡者一直被驅逐而遠離他。

因為在死地沒有人記念你，在陰間有誰會稱謝你呢？

你必汗流滿面才有飯吃，直到你歸回土地，因為你是從那裡取出來的。你本是塵土，就要歸回塵土。」

雅各回答法老：「我在世寄居的年日有一百三十年了；我一生的年日又少又苦，不及我祖先在世寄居的年日。」

當你壽數滿足，與你列祖長眠時，我必興起你親生的後裔接續你，也必堅立他的王權。
