好使他永久存活，不看到阴坑。

谁能存活而不见死亡呢？谁能救自己的灵魂脱离阴间的权势呢？细拉

雅各下到埃及，后来他死了，我们的祖先也死了，遗体被带回示剑，安放到亚伯拉罕在示剑用一笔银子从哈莫尔的子孙买来的坟墓里。

因着信，约瑟临终的时候，提到以色列子民出埃及的事，也为自己的骸骨留下了遗言。

因为在死地没有人记念你，在阴间有谁会称谢你呢？

你必汗流满面才有饭吃，直到你归回土地，因为你是从那里取出来的。你本是尘土，就要归回尘土。”

雅各回答法老：“我在世寄居的年日有一百三十年了；我一生的年日又少又苦，不及我祖先在世寄居的年日。”
