Joseph said to the people,“ Now that I have bought you and your land today for Pharaoh, here is seed for you so you can plant the ground.

Then Joseph said to the people,“ Behold, I have this day bought you and your land for Pharaoh. Now here is seed for you, and you shall sow the land.

When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep on breaking up and working the soil?When he has leveled the surface, does he not sow caraway and scatter cumin? Does he not plant wheat in its place, barley in its plot, and spelt in its field? (niv)

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, (niv)

Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble. (niv)

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. (niv)

The seven lean, ugly cows that came up afterward are seven years, and so are the seven worthless heads of grain scorched by the east wind: They are seven years of famine. (niv)
