到了收割的时候，你们要把五分之一给法老，其余四份可以归你们自己，作田里的种子，又作你们以及你们家人和孩子的食物。”

人若不看顾自己的人，尤其不看顾自己一家的人，就是背弃信仰，比不信的人还坏。

约瑟进去禀告法老，说：“我的父亲和兄弟们，带着他们的牛羊和他们所有的一切，都从迦南地来了，现在就在歌珊地。”

神说：‘当孝敬父母’，又说：‘咒骂父母的必被处死’。你们却说：‘人若对父母说：“我应该给你们的，已经作了献给神的礼物”，他就可以不孝敬父母了。’你们因为你们的传统，就废弃了神的话。

他必甦醒你的生命，养你的老，因为他是爱你的媳妇所生的；有她比有七个儿子更好。”
