The sons of Joseph after their families[ were] Manasseh and Ephraim.Of the sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites: and Machir begat Gilead: of Gilead[ come] the family of the Gileadites.These[ are] the sons of Gilead:[ of] Jeezer, the family of the Jeezerites: of Helek, the family of the Helekites:And[ of] Asriel, the family of the Asrielites: and[ of] Shechem, the family of the Shechemites:And[ of] Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites: and[ of] Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.And Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad[ were] Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.These[ are] the families of Manasseh, and those that were numbered of them, fifty and two thousand and seven hundred.These[ are] the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthalhites: of Becher, the family of the Bachrites: of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.And these[ are] the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites.These[ are] the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred. These[ are] the sons of Joseph after their families.

And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baalhermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.And these[ were] the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men,[ and] heads of the house of their fathers.And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.

And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

These[ were] the sons of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.And his sister Hammoleketh bare Ishod, and Abiezer, and Mahalah.And the sons of Shemida were, Ahian, and Shechem, and Likhi, and Aniam.And the sons of Ephraim; Shuthelah, and Bered his son, and Tahath his son, and Eladah his son, and Tahath his son,And Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son, and Ezer, and Elead, whom the men of Gath[ that were] born in[ that] land slew, because they came down to take away their cattle.And Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brethren came to comfort him.And when he went in to his wife, she conceived, and bare a son, and he called his name Beriah, because it went evil with his house.( And his daughter[ was] Sherah, who built Bethhoron the nether, and the upper, and Uzzensherah.)And Rephah[ was] his son, also Resheph, and Telah his son, and Tahan his son,Laadan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,Non his son, Jehoshua his son.And their possessions and habitations[ were], Bethel and the towns thereof, and eastward Naaran, and westward Gezer, with the towns thereof; Shechem also and the towns thereof, unto Gaza and the towns thereof:And by the borders of the children of Manasseh, Bethshean and her towns, Taanach and her towns, Megiddo and her towns, Dor and her towns. In these dwelt the children of Joseph the son of Israel.

Of the children of Joseph,[ namely], of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;Those that were numbered of them,[ even] of the tribe of Ephraim,[ were] forty thousand and five hundred.Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;Those that were numbered of them,[ even] of the tribe of Manasseh,[ were] thirty and two thousand and two hundred.

And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD[ be] his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,And for the precious fruits[ brought forth] by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and[ for] the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let[ the blessing] come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him[ that was] separated from his brethren.His glory[ is like] the firstling of his bullock, and his horns[ are like] the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they[ are] the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they[ are] the thousands of Manasseh.
