那一年過後，次年他們又來到約瑟那裡，對他說：「不瞞我主，我們的銀子用盡了，牲畜也歸了我主；除了我們的身體和土地以外，我們在我主面前一無所剩。

約瑟對百姓說：「看哪，我今日為法老買了你們和你們的地。看，這些是給你們的種子，你們可以種地了。

七個荒年就隨著來了，正如約瑟所說的。各地都有饑荒，但埃及全地還有糧食。
