So he sent his brothers away, and they departed. He said to them,“ See that you don’t quarrel on the way.”

Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them,“ Don’t quarrel on the way!”

Therefore this distress has come upon us.”Reuben answered them, saying,“ Didn’t I tell you, saying,‘ Don’t sin against the child,’ and you wouldn’t listen? Therefore also, behold, his blood is required.”

Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance;bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.

See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!It is like the precious oil on the head, that ran down on the beard, even Aaron’s beard, that came down on the edge of his robes,like the dew of Hermon, that comes down on the hills of Zion; for there Yahweh gives the blessing, even life forever more.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice.And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

make my joy full by being like- minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,

Reuben said to them,“ Shed no blood. Throw him into this pit that is in the wilderness, but lay no hand on him”— that he might deliver him out of their hand, to restore him to his father.
