為着他們的工作的緣故、你們要用愛心格外尊重他們。你們要彼此和睦。

又彼此說：『我們對我們弟弟實在有了罪責：他向我們乞哀求憐的時候，我們見他心裏的困苦，卻不肯聽，所以這場困苦臨到我們身上了。』如便回答他們說：『我不是對你們說過麼？我說：「不要得罪那孩子」，你們卻不肯聽；看哪，流他血的罪正向我們追討呢！』

所以你們被上帝揀選的人、聖別而蒙愛的、你們要穿上憐憫的心腸、和慈惠、謙卑、柔和、恆忍。倘若有人跟人有嫌隙，總要互相容忍，彼此饒恕；主怎樣饒恕了你們，你們也要怎樣饒恕人。

看哪，弟兄們一團和氣地同住着，何等的美善，何等的可喜悅啊！這好比珍貴的油澆在頭上，流到鬍鬚，流到亞倫的鬍鬚，到他衣裳的領口。又好比黑門的甘露落在錫安的眾山上；因為在那裏有永恆主命定的賜福，就是活到永遠的生命。

『我把一條新的誡命給予你們，叫你們彼此相愛；我怎樣愛了你們，你們也要怎樣彼此相愛。你們若有彼此相愛的心：於此眾人就認識你們是我的門徒了。』

一切苦恨、暴怒、忿怒、嚷鬧、毁謗、連同一切惡毒、都要從你們中間除掉。你們彼此相待、要有慈惠，有憐憫的心腸、互相饒恕，正如上帝在基督裏饒恕了你們一樣。

你們就該存着同樣的意念，有同樣的愛心，同心同情，存着同一的意念使我的喜樂充滿。凡事都不要憑着營私爭勝而作，也不要憑着虛榮心，只要以謙卑彼此看別人比自己高強。各人不要單顧自己的事，各人也要顧到別人的事。基督耶穌存着甚麼意念，你們也要存着甚麼意念在你們中間。

如便對他們說：『不可流他的血；把他丟在野地這個坑裏；不可伸手害他。』如便的意思是要援救他脫離他們的手，然後把他送回給他父親。
