約瑟送弟兄們回去，囑咐他們路上不要爭吵。

于是约瑟打发他弟兄们回去，又对他们说：“你们不要在路上相争。”

Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them,“ Don’t quarrel on the way!”

因為他們的工作，你們要懷著愛心格外敬重他們。你們要彼此和睦相處。

彼此議論說：「我們一定是在遭報應。從前我們的弟弟苦苦地哀求我們，我們卻不理會，現在這場痛苦臨到我們了。」呂便說：「我不是勸你們不要犯罪害那孩子嗎？你們不聽，現在我們必須償還血債了。」

所以，你們既然是上帝所揀選的，是聖潔、蒙愛的人，就要心存憐憫、恩慈、謙虛、溫柔和忍耐。倘若彼此之間有怨言，總要互相寬容，彼此饒恕，主怎樣饒恕你們，你們也要照樣饒恕他人。

看啊，弟兄和睦相處，多麼美好，多麼快樂！這就像珍貴的膏油倒在亞倫頭上，流到他的鬍鬚，又流到他的衣襟；又像黑門的甘露降在錫安山上。那裡有耶和華所賜的福氣，就是永遠的生命。

我賜給你們一條新命令——你們要彼此相愛。我怎樣愛你們，你們也要怎樣彼此相愛。你們如果彼此相愛，世人就會認出你們是我的門徒。」

要從你們當中除掉一切的苦毒、惱恨、怒氣、爭吵、毀謗和邪惡。總要以恩慈、憐憫的心彼此相待，要互相饒恕，正如上帝在基督裡饒恕了你們一樣。

就要同心合意，彼此相愛，靈裡合一，思想一致，好讓我的喜樂更充足。凡事不可自私自利、愛慕虛榮，要心存謙卑，看別人比自己強。各人不要只顧自己的事，也要為別人的需要著想。你們應當有基督耶穌那樣的心腸。

他又說：「不要殺人流血，把他扔在這口井裡吧，不要下手害他。」呂便想救約瑟，把他交回給父親。
