昔得金於囊、我自迦南來、攜以反爾、則我豈竊金銀於爾主之室乎、

向者得金於囊、我自迦南來、即反於爾、則我豈竊金銀於主室乎。

昔見銀於囊中、我自迦南地來、攜反於爾、則我豈竊金銀於爾主人之室乎、

Behold, the money which we found in the opening of our sacks we have brought back to you from the land of Canaan. How then could we steal silver or gold from your lord’s house?

后来到了住宿的地方，我们打开口袋，不料，各人的银子，分量足数，仍在各人的口袋内，现在我们手里又带回来了。另外又带下银子来籴粮。不知道先前谁把银子放在我们的口袋里。”

像那不可奸淫，不可杀人，不可偷盗，不可贪婪，或有别的诫命，都包在爱人如己这一句话之内了。

后来他们倒口袋，不料，各人的银包都在口袋里；他们和父亲看见银包就都害怕。

“‘不可偷盗。

因为凡遵守全律法的，只在一条上跌倒，他就是犯了众条。原来那说“不可奸淫”的，也说“不可杀人”；你就是不奸淫，却杀人，仍是成了犯律法的。

又要手里加倍地带银子，并将归还在你们口袋内的银子仍带在手里；那或者是错了。

他说：“什么诫命？”耶稣说：“就是不可杀人；不可奸淫；不可偷盗；不可作假见证；

“不可偷盗。

他们回答说：“我主为什么说这样的话呢？你仆人断不能做这样的事。

到了住宿的地方，他们中间有一个人打开口袋，要拿料喂驴，才看见自己的银子仍在口袋里，

他们彼此说：“我们在兄弟身上实在有罪。他哀求我们的时候，我们见他心里的愁苦，却不肯听，所以这场苦难临到我们身上。”
