昔得金於囊、我自迦南來、攜以反爾、則我豈竊金銀於爾主之室乎、

向者得金於囊、我自迦南來、即反於爾、則我豈竊金銀於主室乎。

昔見銀於囊中、我自迦南地來、攜反於爾、則我豈竊金銀於爾主人之室乎、

We even brought back to you from the land of Canaan the silver we found inside the mouths of our sacks. So why would we steal silver or gold from your master’s house?

We even brought back to you from the land of Canaan the silver we found at the top of our bags. How could we steal silver or gold from your master’s house?

Behold, the money which we found in the opening of our sacks we have brought back to you from the land of Canaan. How then could we steal silver or gold from your lord’s house?

后来我们来到住宿的地方，打开布袋的时候，不料各人的银子仍然在各人的袋口里，分文不少；现在我们手里又带回来了。我们手里又另外带来银子，是买粮食用的。我们不知道头一次谁把我们的银子放在我们的布袋里。”

那“不可奸淫，不可杀人，不可偷盗，不可贪心”等等的诫命，都包括在“爱人如己”这一句话里面了。

后来他们倒布袋的时候，不料各人的银包仍然在各人的布袋里。他们和他们的父亲看见了银包，就都惧怕起来。

“‘不可偷盗。

因为凡是遵守全部律法的，只要在一条上失足，就违犯所有的了。就像那说“不可奸淫”的，也说“不可杀人”；你纵然不奸淫，却杀人，还是犯法的。

你们手里要多带一倍银子，因为你们要把那放回在你们袋口里的银子带回去，那可能是弄错了的。

他问：“什么诫命？”耶稣回答：“就是‘不可杀人，不可奸淫，不可偷盗，不可作假证供；

“不可偷盗。

他们对管家说：“我主为什么说这样的话呢？你的仆人绝不会作这样的事。

到了住宿的地方，他们其中的一个人打开了布袋，要拿饲料喂驴的时候，才发现自己的银子还在袋口那里。

他们彼此说：“我们在对待弟弟的事上实在有罪。他向我们求情的时候，我们看见他心里的痛苦，却不肯听他，所以这次苦难临到我们身上了。”
