此器非吾主所用以飲、而藉以卜者乎、爾行此事、是不良也、

吾主所飲之器、用以卜者、豈非此耶。爾行是、不良孰甚。

我主所飲、用以占卜者、豈非此爵乎、爾之所為實惡、

Isn’t this the cup my master drinks from and also uses for divination? This is a wicked thing you have done.’”

Is it not from this that my lord drinks, and by this that he practices divination? You have done evil in doing this.’”

Why have you stolen my master’s silver cup, which he uses to predict the future? What a wicked thing you have done!’”

And Laban said to him,“ Please stay, if I have found favor in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me for your sake.”

And Joseph said to them,“ What deed is this you have done? Did you not know that such a man as I can certainly practice divination?”

‘ You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor shall you practice divination or soothsaying.

Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.

Now the men were watching closely to see whether any sign of mercy would come from him; and they quickly grasped at this word and said,“ Your brother Ben-Hadad.” So he said,“ Go, bring him.” Then Ben-Hadad came out to him; and he had him come up into the chariot.

There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you.You shall be blameless before the Lord your God.For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the Lord your God has not appointed such for you.
