So Judah said,“ What can we say to my lord? What words can we speak? And how can we justify ourselves? God has found out the guilt of your servants; behold, we are my lord’s slaves, both we and the one in whose possession the cup has been found.”

犹大说：“我们能对我主说什么呢？我们还有什么话可说呢？我们如何洗脱罪名呢？上帝既然查出你仆人们的罪，我们跟那个被发现有银杯的弟弟一起做我主的奴仆吧！”

犹大说：“我们对我主可以说什么呢？我们还有什么可说的呢？我们怎能证明自己是清白的呢？神已经查出你仆人们的罪孽了。看哪，我们和那在他手里搜出杯来的，都是我主的奴仆了。”

犹大说：“我们能对我主说什么呢？我们还能说什么呢？我们怎能证明自己无辜呢？神找出了你仆人们的罪孽。看哪，无论是我们还是从他手中找到杯子的那个人，现在都是我主的奴仆了！”

猶大說：「我們對我主說甚麼呢？還有甚麼話可說呢？我們怎能自己表白出來呢？神已經查出僕人的罪孽了。我們與那在他手中搜出杯來的都是我主的奴僕。」

猶大說：「我們對我主能說甚麼呢？還有甚麼話可說呢？我們還能為自己表白嗎？上帝已經查出你僕人的罪孽了。看哪，我們與那在他手中找到杯子的人都是我主的奴隸。」

猶大說：「我們對我主能說甚麼呢？還有甚麼話可說呢？我們還能為自己表白嗎？神已經查出你僕人的罪孽了。看哪，我們與那在他手中找到杯子的人都是我主的奴隸。」

猶大說：「我們能對我主說什麼呢？我們還有什麼話可說呢？我們如何洗脫罪名呢？上帝既然查出你僕人們的罪，我們跟那個被發現有銀杯的弟弟一起做我主的奴僕吧！」

猶大說：“我們對我主可以說甚麼呢？我們還有甚麼可說的呢？我們怎能證明自己是清白的呢？神已經查出你僕人們的罪孽了。看哪，我們和那在他手裡搜出杯來的，都是我主的奴僕了。”

猶大說：『我們對我主還說甚麼呢？還有甚麼話可說呢？我們怎能自表為正直呢？上帝已經查出僕人的罪孽了。看哪，我們都是我主的奴僕了：不但那杯在他手中找着的那人而已，我們也都是。』

猶大說：「我們能對我主說什麼呢？我們還能說什麼呢？我們怎能證明自己無辜呢？神找出了你僕人們的罪孽。看哪，無論是我們還是從他手中找到杯子的那個人，現在都是我主的奴僕了！」

猶大曰、我儕於主、夫復何言、尚有何辭、焉能自解、上帝摘僕之咎、獲爵於其手者、與我儕咸為主之奴、

猶大曰、我儕告主、豈尚有言辭、焉能自伸、上帝摘僕之咎。遇有爵於其手者、與我儕咸為主之奴。

猶大曰、天主察僕等之罪、我儕於我主前尚有何言、尚有何辯、尚能自明無罪乎、獲爵於其手者、則彼與我儕咸為我主之奴、

“ What can we say to my lord?” Judah replied.“ What can we say? How can we prove our innocence? God has uncovered your servants’ guilt. We are now my lord’s slaves— we ourselves and the one who was found to have the cup.”

“ What can we say to you?” Judah replied.“ What can we say? How can we prove we haven’t done anything wrong? God has shown you that we are guilty. We are now your slaves. All of us are, including the one found to have the cup.”

And Judah said,“ What shall we say to my lord? What shall we speak? Or how can we clear ourselves? God has found out the guilt of your servants; behold, we are my lord’s servants, both we and he also in whose hand the cup has been found.”

Judah answered,“ Oh, my lord, what can we say to you? How can we explain this? How can we prove our innocence? God is punishing us for our sins. My lord, we have all returned to be your slaves— all of us, not just our brother who had your cup in his sack.”

“ What can we say to my lord?” Judah replied.“ How can we plead? How can we justify ourselves? God has exposed your servants’ iniquity. We are now my lord’s slaves— both we and the one in whose possession the cup was found.”

Then Judah said,“ What shall we say to my Lord? What shall we speak? Or how shall we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants; here we are, my lord’s slaves, both we and he also with whom the cup was found.”

And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord’s bondmen, both we, and he also in whose hand the cup is found.

“ What can we say to my lord?” Judah replied.“ How can we plead? How can we justify ourselves? God has exposed your servants’ iniquity. We are now my lord’s slaves— both we and the one in whose possession the cup was found.”

And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we[ are] my lord’s servants, both we, and[ he] also with whom the cup is found.

Judah replied,“ What can we say to my lord? What can we speak? How can we clear ourselves? God has exposed the sin of your servants! We are now my lord’s slaves, we and the one in whose possession the cup was found.”

Judah said,“ What will we tell my lord? What will we speak? How will we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants. Behold, we are my lord’s slaves, both we and he also in whose hand the cup is found.”

With whomever of your servants it is found, he shall die, and we also shall be my lord’s slaves.”

“ Righteousness belongs to You, Lord, but to us open shame, as it is this day— to the men of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and all Israel, those who are nearby and those who are far away in all the countries to which You have driven them, because of their unfaithful deeds which they have committed against You.

But if you do not do so, behold, you have sinned against the Lord, and be sure that your sin will find you out.

But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.

For your servant accepted responsibility for the boy from my father, saying,‘ If I do not bring him back to you, then my father can let me take the blame forever.’

One who justifies the wicked and one who condemns the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.

Therefore through this Jacob’s wrongdoing will be forgiven; And this will be the full price of the pardoning of his sin: When he makes all the altar stones like pulverized chalk stones; When Asherim and incense altars will not stand.

For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.

Then they said to one another,“ Truly we are guilty concerning our brother, because we saw the distress of his soul when he pleaded with us, yet we would not listen; for that reason this distress has happened to us.”Reuben answered them, saying,“ Did I not tell you,‘ Do not sin against the boy’; and you would not listen? Now justice for his blood is required.”

Then he had yet another dream, and informed his brothers of it, and said,“ Behold, I have had yet another dream; and behold, the sun and the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

“ Behold, I am insignificant; what can I say in response to You? I put my hand on my mouth.

But the sons of Israel acted unfaithfully regarding the things designated for destruction, for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, from the tribe of Judah, took some of the designated things; therefore the anger of the Lord burned against the sons of Israel.

Lord God of Israel, You are righteous, for we have been left an escaped remnant, as it is this day; behold, we are before You in our guilt, for no one can stand before You because of this.”

When they saw him from a distance, and before he came closer to them, they plotted against him to put him to death.They said to one another,“ Here comes this dreamer!Now then, come and let’s kill him, and throw him into one of the pits; and we will say,‘ A vicious animal devoured him.’ Then we will see what will become of his dreams!”But Reuben heard this and rescued him out of their hands by saying,“ Let’s not take his life.”Then Reuben said to them,“ Shed no blood. Throw him into this pit that is in the wilderness, but do not lay a hand on him”— so that later he might rescue him out of their hands, to return him to his father.So it came about, when Joseph reached his brothers, that they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the multicolored tunic that was on him;and they took him and threw him into the pit. Now the pit was empty, without any water in it.Then they sat down to eat a meal. But as they raised their eyes and looked, behold, a caravan of Ishmaelites was coming from Gilead, with their camels carrying labdanum resin, balsam, and myrrh, on their way to bring them down to Egypt.And Judah said to his brothers,“ What profit is it for us to kill our brother and cover up his blood?Come, and let’s sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay our hands on him, for he is our brother, our own flesh.” And his brothers listened to him.Then some Midianite traders passed by, so they pulled him out and lifted Joseph out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. So they brought Joseph into Egypt.

A person who is burdened with the guilt of human blood Will be a fugitive until death; no one is to support him!

for behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and behold, my sheaf stood up and also remained standing; and behold, your sheaves gathered around and bowed down to my sheaf.”

“ If there is a dispute between people and they go to court, and the judges decide their case, and they declare the righteous innocent and pronounce the wicked guilty,

Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Brothers, what are we to do?”

And Adoni bezek said,“ Seventy kings with their thumbs and their big toes cut off used to gather up scraps under my table; as I have done, so God has repaid me.” So they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.

And he brought his household forward man by man; and Achan, son of Carmi, son of Zabdi, son of Zerah, from the tribe of Judah, was selected.

So Judah said to his father Israel,“ Send the boy with me and we will arise and go, so that we may live and not die, we as well as you and our little ones.I myself will take responsibility for him! You may demand him back from me. If I do not bring him back to you and present him to you, then you can let me take the blame forever.

“ And now, our God, what shall we say after this? For we have abandoned Your commandments,

“ And now, you inhabitants of Jerusalem and people of Judah, Judge between Me and My vineyard.
