猶大謂父以色列曰、遣孺子與我偕、即起而往、爾我暨子女、均可延生不死、

猶大謂以色列曰、遣弟與我偕往、汝我子女、均可相保、不至死亡。

猶大謂父以色列曰、遣童子偕我、我儕即起而往、爾與我儕及我子女、皆可保全、不至死亡、

Then Judah said to Israel his father,“ Send the boy along with me and we will go at once, so that we and you and our children may live and not die.

Judah spoke to Israel his father.“ Send the boy along with me,” he said.“ We’ll go right away. Then we and you and our children will live and not die.

And Judah said to Israel his father,“ Send the boy with me, and we will arise and go, that we may live and not die, both we and you and also our little ones.

Judah said to his father,“ Send the boy with me, and we will be on our way. Otherwise we will all die of starvation— and not only we, but you and our little ones.

Then Judah said to his father Israel,“ Send the boy with me. We will be on our way so that we may live and not die— neither we, nor you, nor our dependents.

So Judah said to his father Israel,“ Send the boy with me and we will arise and go, so that we may live and not die, we as well as you and our little ones.

Then Judah said to Israel his father,“ Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go, that we may live and not die, both we and you and also our little ones.

Then Judah said to his father Israel,“ Send the boy with me. We will be on our way so that we may live and not die— neither we, nor you, nor our children.

他又說：“我聽說埃及有糧食，你們下到那裡去，給我們買些糧食，使我們可以活下去，不至餓死。”

他的一位臣僕回答，說：“請叫人拉五匹剩下的馬來；看哪，牠們像所有剩下在這裡的以色列人，都要像所有死去的以色列人一樣；讓我們打發人去看看吧。”

我們就說：‘我們不能下去，如果有我們最小的弟弟與我們同去，我們就下去；因為我們最小的弟弟不與我們同去，我們就不得見那人的面。’

現在你們不要害怕，我必供養你們和你們的孩子。”於是約瑟用仁慈的話安慰他們。

我們如果說：‘我們進城去吧！’城裡正有饑荒，我們就要死在那裡。我們如果坐在這裡，也是要死。現在，讓我們去投降亞蘭人的軍隊吧；如果他們饒我們一命，我們就可以活著；如果他們要殺死我們，我們就死吧。”

“那時，我在亞哈瓦河邊那裡宣告禁食，為要在我們的神面前謙卑下來，為自己和我們的孩子，以及我們所有的財物尋求神指示一條暢通的道路。

願流本生存，不致死亡，願他的人數不致稀少。”

“要孝敬父母，使你在耶和華你的神賜給你的地上得享長壽。

我必不至於死，我要活下去，並且要述說耶和華的作為。

現在我再吩咐你對他們說：‘你們要這樣作：從埃及地帶些車輛回去，用來接你們的孩子和妻子，並且把你們的父親接來。

還有約瑟的全家，他的兄弟們和他父親的家人；他們把孩子和牛羊留在歌珊地。

雅各說：“我的兒子不可與你們一同下去，因為他的哥哥死了，只剩下他一個；如果他在你們所走的路上遇到不幸，你們就使我這白髮老人愁愁苦苦地下陰間去了。”

但是你們的孩子，就是你們所說他們必被擄掠的，我要把他們領進去，他們必得著你們厭棄的那地。
