設宴是為了歡笑，酒能使人生快樂，錢能解決萬事。

你們當把烈酒給將要滅亡的人，把酒給心靈苦澀的人；

人子來了，也吃也喝，他們就說：『看，這個貪食好酒的人！稅吏和罪人的朋友！』然而，智慧是憑著智慧的行為被證明為義的。」

去吧！歡歡喜喜地吃你的飯，心中快樂地喝你的酒；因為神已經悅納你所做的。

對他說：「人人都是先擺上好酒，等賓客喝醉了，才擺上次等的。你卻把好酒留到現在！」
